Best hotel to walk to Downtown Disney

Which hotel is the best to stay at if we want to walk to Downtown Disney from the hotel? We want to go to T-Rex. Thanks.

The Hilton would be the closest to the end where the T Rex restaurant is but you could also walk easily from Buena Vista Palace and Regal Sun Resort both are across from the end where Rainforest Cafe is.

Hilton is #174 Buena Vista Palace is #176 and Regal Sun is #173

The T Rex is just past McDonalds going toward Pleasure Island.

Which would be better SSR or Hilton?

i have never stayed at hilton but have stayed at ssr. we liked it, our balcony overlooked the lake and it was nice to sit out at night and look acrossed at downtown disney and all the lights. they have a walking path that loops up around the lake and takes you to the end where rain forrest is. we walked it more than bused because we had a stroller and usually lots of bags, which was alot of work lugging on a bus full of people. if i were to guess, it was about a good 5 min walk, but we were one of the closest buildings. you can request one back in that section if you dont mind not being as close to the main building and food court. it was nice there, we would definately stay again.

I have stayed at both and it depends....
I would just go with which was cheaper for one night.

Hilton's probably closer!

The hotel buses that go to DTD in the evenings (after 3pm, I believe) actually drop off passengers over near T-REX, although they also stop at all six hotels along the way.
