We are heading down to Universal in 11 days and would like to do dinner at Disney.

What are the best hotel restaurants?

We already have reservation at Yachtsman steakhouse and Whispering Canyon.

Any where else we should consider?

California Grill at the Contemporary Resort. Also, a personal favorite, Olivia's at OKW.

Sanaa (Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village), Citricos (Grand Floridian), and a second for the California Grill (Contemporary). If you expand over to Disney Springs...Morimoto Asia, Frontera Cocina, Chef Art Smith's Homecomin', and of course The Boathouse!

I included reviews and pictures from all of these locations in my recently completed trip report: https://www.disboards.com/threads/c...0th-a-pre-and-post-genie-trip-report.3859660/

Flying Fish at the Board Walk, and California Grill at the Contemporary. The food and the locations are great for both. (IMO)

Topolino's at the Riviera is worth the trip.
V&A's is the best, but not open at the GF.
Jiko's is a special experience and worth the effort.
Good bets - Citrico's, Sanaa, Flying Fish (when it reopens).
We do not think the Cali Grill is what it once was. It's been on a steady decline, imo, and with the new "special" price fix menu, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. We have similar feelings about Yachtsman's Steakhouse and Narcoosee's. Too expensive to be a "hit or miss" experience.

California Grill. I'd cancel Whispering Canyon, there's much better out there. I'd also not go to Narcoosee's. Ate there in October for our 20th wedding anniversary, ordered celebration cake too ($145). Awful, just awful. Haven't been to the new Steakhouse 71 or Topolino's yet but it appears to get good reviews.

Maleficent's Dad - Based on their arrival in 11 days I don't believe Jiko will have reopened by then. I considered recommending it too but did not due to that.

I've dined at Boathouse, Steakhouse 71 and California Grill several weeks ago and enjoyed all three. If one is going to try Boatwright's try to pick a day when Yeehaa Bob is playing in the lounge.

Good pick up, thanks!

Others have made some great suggestions. If I only had a few dinners at Disney resorts I'd be looking at Topolino's, Citricos, Toledo, and Sanaa.

As a local that eats at the resorts often - my current favorite is Citricos. I had a delicious meal at California Grill, but I'm not a huge fan of prix fixe. Not a Disney hotel, but Shulas at the Dolphin is excellent but expensive.
