Hello all

At very short notice, me, my sister and two of my friends are going to Disney next month! Obviously, we're thrilled to bits.

It's my sister's birthday while we're there, so we'd love to go out for cocktails one evening. Having never been to any of the bars before, we're not sure where's best.

Can you recommend a nice bar that serves cocktails? We'd like somewhere quiet enough to chat, and quite fancy and grown up - ideally, without too many children running around!

Also, can you give me a rough idea of the price?

Well there will likely be some children everywhere you go, but I'd vote for the Fantasia cafe in Disneyland Hotel. Very grown up. Sequoia Lodge is nice too though.

I recommend the SL, it is a lovely bar very cosy.

we sat in a corner a bit tucked away but you could still see the open fire it was lovely!
But as britchic said there will be children everywhere. We use to have a quiet drink in the afternoon while the parks were still open so it was fairly quiet. Goofy came round and visited the few that was in there at the time which wasnt many at all at that time of day.:)

Thanks very much for the suggestions.

And just to clarify, I don't dislike children or expect Disney to be child-free! I just meant that we'd like somewhere more adult-oriented - more Walt's than Pizza Planet...

Don't worry, we understand especially if we have children!;)
Rainforest Cafe does cocktails too I think.....

billy bobs does some nice cocktails in the village, and if you pay a couple of euros more you get a disney glass to keep as well.

quite nice to sit outside and watch the world go by in the disney village.

but if you want to be away from all that then sequioa lodge is the place to go

The bar in HNY is also quite a formal grown up one as well

The prices for cocktails vary from bar to bar - more expensive in DLH to cheapest in Santa Fe

The cocktail menu is much more limited now than it used to be and each hotel seems to sell very similar ones (sometimes with different names though)

The cocktails in the cheyenne were 6euro i think and the one with the glowing ice cube was 8.50 which was soooo yummy i had 3:cool1: I was a little tipsey leaving im not a big drinker:lmao:

Another vote for the SL - make sure you get a glowtini :cloud9:

Also you can order cocktails in thre restaurants - and they seem to be much cheaper than the bars. I had a lovely champagne cocktail in the Chicago Steakhouse for about 6 euros :)

Its not that strong according to my cousin. I can't stand the Glowtini as it has Archers in it:sick:

I had one that had 8 year old Havanan rum in it. It was very strong.

OT my favourite bars has to be HNY followed by the SL:thumbsup2

The Glowtini has the flashing ice cube in it (its not a separate drink)

The one I had with the rum in had pineapple juice too, can't remember the name of it though

Cowboy's Coffee (Irish Whiskey, Kahlua, coffee, cane sugar syrup, whipped cream) - sounding good!!

I'm a sucker for a good pina colada too - summer holidays in a glass :cheer2:

I had a Glotini in Disney California last week and it was lovely Id read about the ones i Paris on here so Im going to try another one there! I got to keep my glowing 'Ice Cube' in Anaheim though it came as a souvenir with the drink, do you keep it in Paris?

so the glowtini is the ice cube!:thumbsup2 And is that in the Cheyenne? or can you get it in most Hotel restaurants?

I do hope you get to keep the ice cube:)
