I have stayed at Motel 6 MainGate June 2014 and June 2015 and most likely will book there again for June 2016.
Its a large hotel, rooms are in two buildings which back onto each other. There is no breakfast but they have vending machines and a microwave for guest use in the lobby. There is also a small convenience shop and a left luggage store room in the lobby.
There is WiFi available in all the rooms but you need to get the code from the hotel reception.
There is a medium sized pool, which I have never used but every time I have passed it, there are always lots of families using it.
Most local take out places will deliver to the hotel, I got a Dominoes delivery in June 2015.
The rooms are huge, comfortably fit 2 king beds and lots of space for luggage or a wheelchair or
ECV scooter. The room has a one person corner sofa with a table, chair and mirror and a large TV screen on the wall opposite the bed.
Some of the rooms have connecting doors.
The ART comes right into the parking lot and pulls up beside the main lobby. I usually get the ART 3 day ticket at the hotel reception. Your first use on the bus validates it, so if you buy it at 11 pm but your first use is the next morning, you don't loose any days. The bus leaves the hotel for the park every 20 minutes. Motel 6 Maingate is the last hotel pick up to the park and the first drop off from the park.
The shuttle bus drop off /pick up area is on Harbour Boulevard side of Disney Plaza, the opposite side to DownTown Disney.
