We are considering a trip to WDW this December. I wanted to know your ideas on the best decorated resort for the Christmas holidays. We have stayed at Port Orleans (FQ) in Dec. before; it was very nicely decorated. Just wondering what others thought was the best holiday themed.
Thanks .::MickeyMo

Grand Floridian is my favorite, but I like the Victorian Christmas element and the full sized Gingerbread house.

If you like the rustic homey feel of Christmas, Wilderness Lodge can't be beat!

While they are all well done, our opinion from our last December trip was Grand Floridian.

We spent a week at the WL this past Christmas and the overall feel of Winter was amazing. I think the prettiest Christmas Resort has to be Grand Floridian too. For a wonderful feel of Christmas, be sure to do MVMCP if it is open during your dates. It almost gives you chills.

I agree with most here the Grand Floridian does an incredible job decorating... I love a Victorian Christmas theme.

Wilderness Lodge is wonderful. Huge tree, lots of decorations, and when inside the lobby you really feel like it will snow any minute. The Boardwalk is also wonderful, as in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Never visited Grand Floridian before (hope to someday though...)

Wilderness Lodge! We loved the warm, cozy feel of Christmas at this resort. That suits our style better than the formal decorations at some of the other resorts, although those were very pretty.

We enjoyed touring all the resorts to see the Christmas decorations. If you do this, make sure you stop by the Dolphin to see the poinsettia tree. I think this resort often gets overlooked, but it's worth the trip to see that tree!

Thanks, I've never seen the Grand Floridian or the WL resort at Christmas. Is the GF where the gingerbread carosel is located?

Also, what about the Contemporary? What is it like at Christmas? Or how about the Poly??

The ginger bread carousel is at the Yacht and Beach Club. Never been to the Contemporary either but the Poly has nice decorations, not as elaborate as some of the other resorts like the Lodges or the Cresent Lake resorts like Boardwalk but still nice. The Hawaiian Christmas music they play on the loud speekers around the resort is very cute though.

I do not care for the decorations at the Contemporary . They seem to be kind of "new age" and while they go well with the resort, they don't look like Christmas to me. I think the Polly's are a little more understated, but very nice.
