The suprise ending thread got me thinking...what are your absolute favorite "send-in-the-cavalry" moments. You know, where all hope seems lost, until someone or something swoops in at the last minute to save them all?
For me, its:
Stagecoach...the original send-in-the-cavalry moment. The cavalry actually shows up in th emiddle of a huge indian attack and saves the day. Very moving stuff!
Star Wars...Han Solo swoops in at the last minute with the Millenium Falcon and saves Luke. Brilliant.
Return of the Jedi....people dis the Ewoks all the time, but they DID save the day!
The Lord of the Rings...had two actually. In the Two Towers, it was the arrival of Gandalf to save them all at Helms Deep, and in RoTK, it was the arrival of Aragorn and his army of the dead.
Toy Story 3...the claw. I cried like a little girl and clapped.
