Ok, tonight is date night with the boyfriend. I need to know where everyone's favorite happy hour is. We live in a good size city so, most major chains are a go!
I know that this is random, but people on the DIS know everything !

What do you like to get?

I prefer the local no name type places. They usually have a better atmosphere, cheaper drinks, and they don't water the drinks down as much. Plus I like supporting the local businesses especially in these hard economic times.

I can't believe you're in Maine and want to go to a chain! SHAME ON YOU!

Go to Bull Feeny's or 3 Dollar Deweys, Great Lost Bear, or Sebago.. walk around Old Port! There's some great places there, I can't even think of them all. Tons of local breweries!

Keep in mind, happy hours vary area to area. I'll answer your question and spare you the lecture on how local watering holes are superior.

In my neck of the woods, chain happy hours are: 1) Chili's - buy one, get one free; 2) Applebee's - buy one, get one free; 3) TGI Friday's - random drink specials based on day of the week; 4) Ruby Tuesday's - drink of the day special and buy one, get one free. I know Blue Martini and Bar Louie's both have happy hour specials, too, but cannot think of them for the life of me. I'll chime in if I can think of any more.
