Best Gulf of Mexico Beach Resorts

After spending half term just relaxing at the beach in Italy and not realising just how much we would enjoy it, we decided it might be good to also have a week relaxing after the parks next year. This year was crazy as my brothers family came for 3 weeks and even though our 10th trip we did more parks than ever.
Been looking on the map and had originally thought Longboat Key look good but now seeing so many other nice places. Wondered if anyone had any recommendations for resorts and actual places to stay. Looking for a 2 bed condo right on the beach with a pool.

Love love Longboat Key! I can't wait to be back there in just over 5 weeks.

We stay at the Longboat Key Club - very pricey but we really enjoyed it. I would say that we only stay a couple of nights though so don't mind paying a bit more.

We rented a house on Longboat Key a few years ago - bliss! It was April, and closed season for them! The beaches were deserted, the weather was hot and we did lots of lazing and slow exploring. Loved it.

As the others say love love love longboat key! We also stayed at the same resort as Elise and is was amazing (so jealous you'll be there soonWe would like to explore other parts of the coast but not before we've been back there. 30 minutes along the coast is Anna Marie Island and this is even more relaxed and beautiful.
