Best glue for door magnets

I love to make magnets for my stateroom door, but haven't had much luck with finding a good glue to stick the magnet to the laminated material, anyone have any tips?

I use magnetic business cards and cut them if needed

I've always used self stick magnets and never had an issue. Just peel and stick.

I use rubber cement. I also save any magnets that come through the mail to use as door magnets with my own printed material.

I use the self stick magnets as well, Walmart about $2 for 18 small round ones I believe. Or I use a small drop from a hot glue gun.

Last cruise we used Avery Magnetic Sheets, basical 8.5x11 printable sheets of magnets. We didn't have an issue with a single on, and they still look great and will be cruising with us in about 5 months!

If you cruise on the wonder, the roll/magnetic paper will not stick...so your stuck with rare earth magnets. I used Gorilla Glue. Worked amazingly on our 35+ door decorations that were laminated cardstock.

We were on the Wonder in Oct. Had no issues with magnetic paper sticking to the door.

We had a few that were gifted to us in May 2015 on the magnet paper and they fell off every time the door shut. It was post renovations too, deck 2. We saw lots of them laying all over the ground. It was sad. We even had a few slide down over time with the rare earth ones, but did not fall off. I guess it just depends on your door.

I agree that the Wonder seems to have many paint layers on the outside of the doors so magnets have trouble sticking. I had trouble there with Avery Magnet sheets 2.5 years ago so moved to the rolled sheets that you cut, peel, & stick and that worked well for several cruises but in early November even some of those had trouble sticking, and I really needed to reinforce with additional magnets.
