Yeah, you found my pre-trip report. My best friend and I have been planning this trip for about a year now and we can't believe that we'll be leaving in 4 days. Our wonderful disney vacation is from January 6-13 and we'll be staying at the POP Centruy. First let me introduce our characters.
Me (Niki) 22
- Ariel lover and graduate student. I'm graduating in May with my Master's of Sciene Degree in Occupational Therapy. This will be my 5th trip to disney and can recite the entire Little Mermaid Movie line for line, do all the dances and sing all the songs. I'm addicted.
Joy (Best Friend) 22
- Cinderella lover and graduate student. She's graduting with me in May with her Master's of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. This will be Joy's 2nd trip, but it's kinda like her first, becuase she was there once before when she was very little and doesn't remember much of it. She'll also be celebrating her 23rd birthday
while at disney world!!!
So like I said, Joy and I have been planning this trip for about a year. We booked it in August after saving all of our pennies from summer jobs, while still making sure we had enough to pay our tution.
So we booked our trip through a travel agent who I know becuase I help her grandparents where I work. She's like a disney guru and knows everything, plus she's like so super super nice.
So the trip got booked. We decided to go for 8 days, so as not to be super rushed. We got a room at the POP century, because I had stayed there before and loved it. We would have liked a moderate, but that would have meant less money for souvenirs, and we really woudln't be in the room to much anyway. We also decided to go with an 8 day park hopper and the deluxe disney dining plan. This way everything is paid for and were ready to go. woohooo
We went right back to joy's place and deicded to book our ADR's. Why waste any time. We had everything planned out even before we booked the trip.

We're even planning on decorating our resort room at the POP. We "stole" some mickey head from the home depot and put magnets on the back of all of them to put on our door. We also colored some disney princess pages to put in our window and we have a big birthday banner. My suitcase has been packed and unpacked and i'm trying ot make sure I have enough clothes, but also enough room for all my souvenirs and gifts for when I return.
Wish us luck, and if you see us at say HI!!!
Also, thanks to everyone for all the great suggestions and tips. I know that because of you, our trip will be wonderful!!
God Bless!!
