I finished packing all my clothes and loaded them into the car. I waited for my mom to get home in order for her to say goodbye. She finally arrived, and I called Joy to tell her that I would be picking her up soon. So, I drove to Joys house at college and picked her up. We had a great ride to Delaware and sang Disney songs all the way down. We were all ready to go. We ended up at Joys parents house and we loaded all of our luggage into their van. On our way to the airport, Joys parents took us to dinner with her older brother in order to celebrate his birthday. It was then off to the hotel near the airport, where we get all checked in and ready.
We didnt sleep at all that night and ended up falling asleep to the sounds of We Are Marshall. The movie stated off good, so maybe Ill rent it to watch the rest of it.

Were up and moving by 4 AM. We very quickly get dressed and go downstairs to check out of the hotel. We grab some coffee and wait for the bus to come to the airport, which it does at exactly 5 AM. Yeah, were on our way.

We make it to the airport with no problem and check-in at the Air Tran counter. Again, no problems. We get through security and grab some breakfast while we wait for our plane. There were a lot of other families waiting to go to Disney, because they all had their Disney gear on.
The plane ride is uneventful and Joy and I listen o our ipods and color on the way down. Orlando International Airport is wonderful and I love the mini-monorail that they have at the airport!! Very cool! We get on the Disney Magical Express and head to our hotel.
I love the Pop Century resort. It is so much fun and perfect for me and Joy. We check-in at the front desk and then drop off our carry-on bags and board the bus for the Magic Kingdom.
Were in the Magic Kingdom around 11 AM that morning.
We decided to ride Pirates of the Caribbean first, since its my favorite ride. I really like the changes they have done and think Capitan Jack is just dreamy!!
AS we exit, we see Capitan Hook and Mr. Smee, so we get in line to get their autographs and pictures.
Its then off the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse and then we see Aladdin and Jasmine, so we get in line to meet them.
We then decide to get some fast passes for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and head on over.
Joys bummed because she wanted to ride Splash Mountain, but its closed for a refurb.
After fast passes, we grab some lunch at Pecos Bills, which is very good, but a lot of food.
Its then time for our fast passes so we head on over to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I love that ride. Its just so much fun! I cant remember in what exact order we ride the rest of the rides at the Magic Kingdom, but I do know, that the lines arent very long and by using the fast passes were zipping through the lines. The weather was perfect and Joy and I are having a ball on our first day.
We went to watch the Castle Lighting Ceremony. This was the last night it was happening so we didnt want to miss out. Mickey and friends were deciding how to decorate the castle and then the fairy godmother suggests to ask Cinderella. Cinderella wants it to look like icicles, so thats what she gets!
We have dinner at the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary Resort. I order scallops for an appetizer, prime rib for my entrée, and crème brulee for dessert. Everything was delicious and perfect. Plus, our waitress was great. The other drawback was you could hear the noise from Chef Mickeys next door. We end dinner with perfect timing and head to the concourse viewing area to watch wishes. So beautiful. The music was piped in, but it could have been louder.
We then headed back to the park to finish out the evening since the Magic Kingdom had extra magic hours. We didnt stay the whole time, since we were tired from having to be up to early that morning. We hit a few more rides and even re-rode some. The lines werent bad at all.
We arrive back at the hotel and see that we have a towel animal! Yeah! I then decided that we need to decorate our room right away, so that gets done before either of us take showers and go to sleep.
