I am not happy with my current free anti virus program.

What is the best free program?

Thanks!

Everyone will probably say AVG. Avast would be a close 2nd. I prefer AVG, but an update proved to stop my computer to a screeching halt with speed. That was a while ago, I'm sure it's been updated since then.

Microsoft Security Essentials from Microsoft. We monitor systems & have switched them from a paid one to this one. It has been catching/stopping more than all the paid ones combined!

I like AVG too!:thumbsup2

We use Microsoft Security Essential on our laptop and have an old netbook with Avast. Never an issue with either one and both easy to use.

Thank You All For Taking The Time To Reply!
I went with Microsoft...
We will see how it goes.
Thanks Again

I have had AVG for years and up until about a year ago I loved it. Now, anytime it updates, the computer is literally unusable because it's so slow. I have had (what I think was) a virus even with AVG and firewall protection.

Hubby and I are starting to look into other alternatives.

We use superantispyware.com the free link. It catches all the ads and spyware stuff.
