Best Food on the Boardwalk?

We are big fans of the boardwalk area. I would also include the restaurants located at the beach and yacht club which is a ten minute walk at best from the boardwalk. We have breakfast most mornings at the boardwalk bakery and enjoy the outdoor air.

All of the restaurants are good depending on your mood and how much you want to spend. ESPN Club and Big River Grille and at the cheaper end, Cape May Clam Bake is in the middle and Spoodles, Flying Fish and Yachtsman Steakhouse are at the higher end.

Realistically, you can't really go wrong with any of them. We have never had a bad meal in the boardwalk area.

I always get the crab cakes at Flying Fish - they are awesome. Everything else on the menu is pretty good too.

We hit Big River every trip - love the beer and the food has generally been quite good.


Spoodles - that has been more hit and miss for us, but when it is on, it is also very good.

ESPN - not my favorite.

I know you have to like the food to like a restaurant, but I HAVE to go to ESPN, i will never forgive me not trying. That said, with fries and onions I'm set so... I will like it. The bakery i will like to try also..

I like ESPM when I don't want a huge, heavy meal. I love to go in, get a beer and the plate of nachos. Yummy.

Big River Grille...DH, DGD and I all love the burgers there.
