Well for the record I just tried that with my UP24 and it did not register any steps. I still have to find time to calibrate it and actually do a test to see how accurate it is.

I saw the UP3 and I so wished I hadn't bought the 24 and waited for the 3, but I guess the lower price on the 24 gives me the ability to try it out first. I haven't been able to find a release date on the 3 only preorder info, does anyone have a release date for it?

I believe the UP3 should be coming out around Christmas or soon after.

have an Up24 and the Body Media Link. I have been tracking the steps and calories burned for about 3 months. The Up24 registers about 10% less steps and 17% less calories burned than the Link (which is supposed to be the most accurate device on the market.)

I'm hoping the Up3 will be closer to the Body Media Link for accuracy. Time will tell.
