I am looking for a place with a great fish entree - NOT seafood (I'm allergic to shellfish). Where would you go? We currently have an ADR for Narcoosees but want to make sure it is the best choice. TIA!

I just had some wonderful fish dishes at Citricos. I had the Sea Bass and my friend had the Swordfish. Both were excellent, but the selection is always changing at Citricos. I've also had an amazing Halibut dish there. They seem to always have a few fish entrees.

I, too, would vote for the swordfish at Citricos. The Potato Wrapped Snapper at Flying Fish is also Excellent, as is the Cedar Plank Salmon at Artist Point.

My favorite fish dish on property is the Tuna Oscar at Kona!

THIS! The Tuna Oscar is one of my favorite dishes anywhere! Very good. The tuna itself is peppered enough to give it a bit of a kick and the wasabi hollandaise is absolutely delicious, not too spicy but has a really different and intriguing flavor. VERY NICE!

It depends on if you prefer the taste of the fish itself or the sauce and accompaniments. One of the simplest and best things I ever ate at WDW was the cedar-planked Copper River salmon (sockeye salmon) at Artists Point, but it is available only for a few weeks per year in late Spring, I believe. I haven't had their "non-seasonal" version using Pacific king salmon (chinook salmon), but I'm sure it's almost as good.

As far as more "chef-driven" fish entrees, Flying Fish's catch of the day has never disappointed, no matter what it was.

I've actually had remarkably good luck with fish at WDW by steering clear of buffets and quick-service, and avoiding ordering fish at TS places unless it is one of their specialties.

I think the fish (and overall restaurant experience) is much better at FF than Narcoosees. After FF, Citricos would be my next choice.

Mahi Mahi for lunch at Coral Reef was really, really good. The salmon on the buffets at both Boma and Crystal Palace was also surprisingly good.

If you’re on the DDP then the whole fish at Kouzzinna is excellent.

The whole fish at Blue Zoo is also excellent. They usually have several sauces to choose from. In addition they have many other fish dishes and probably the best selection of fish on property.

As for the Tuna Oscar at Kona, yes it is very good, but comes with tempura-fried jumbo lump crab so you'll probably want to have them exclude that.

I haven't had the pleasure of eating at some of these other recommended places, but the whole fish at Kouzzina was one of the best-prepared fish dishes I've ever had. Just delicious.

I wasn't so fond of the tuna Oscar at Kona, I thought it was pretty bland and flavorless, the tuna itself was just not very good (the crab was the best part, and I don't even like crab!). My DH had the miso-glazed mahi-mahi there, and it was much better.

My favorite was probably the Mustard-Glazed Salmon at Akershus, followed by the crab-crusted halibut at Narcoossee's (which of course you couldn't eat).

I just uploaded all my photos from the trip so here are some fish dishes for you:

Grilled Atlantic Salmon with baby spinach, cannellini beans, ugli tomato, warm bacon vinaigrette and lemon aioli at The Holly Brown Derby

Oak Grilled Atlantic Swordfish with fingerling potatoes, roasted fennel, applewood smoked bacon, and a violet mustard cream at Citricos

The best 2 were the ones at Citricos. I think the Swordfish just slightly edged out the Bass.

Okay, not as upscale as the aforementioned restaurants, but Wolfgang Puck Cafe had very delicious mahi mahi w/a lemon caper sauce earlier this month. It was cooked perfectly. I would definitely make it a point to go back for that. Also, the Grand Floridian Cafe's salmon has been excellent the two times I've had it this year.

Flying Fish or Bluezoo are probably two of the best places on property for you to find really well prepared fish. The potato-wrapped snapper at FF is amazing and I've also had tremendous halibut at FF as well as at Bluezoo.

The red snapper from Flying Fish, omigod it is to die for

loads of pics of fish entrees in my dining review "I'm having fish tonight"....Narcoossees was fab if you like thai style fish, as was California Grill. Of the non signatures, we loved the fish lunch entree at Grand floridian cafe, and the miso salmon at YnY. The mahi at Wolgang Puck cafe was also very good.:)
