Researching which venue would be best for our DS (5), DD (9) and DW. Leaning toward the Pirates & Pals for our DS to even out other experiences geared towards our DD. Any suggestions / critiques of any of the fireworks adventures would be greatly appreciated.

Pirates & Pals. Good for everyone, regardless of the name.

:welcome: to the DISboards, Bob!

WELCOME!

We did the Pirates & Pals cruise as our 'special' thing for our anniversary with zero kids and absolutely LOVED it! The profile pic is actually us with our Captain lol. One little secret about the cruise no one will tell you though.... you DO have the option of bringing all the food "you can carry" onto the boat for during the fireworks. We plan on doing it again and getting creative rather than trying to stuff as much in our faces as fast as possible.:rolleyes1

I haven't' done the Fireworks cruise, but I have done a few dessert parties. They are just ok. I would go with the cruise.

Thank you everyone! Was a bid worried about the "60" person boat capacity and some postings about the distance from MK at firework time. Vacation is in "seven (7) sleeps" - as my DS (4) counts down. Calling today to check availability. You have a great tool in this message board. Will be back.

Bob

Pirates & Pals happened to be booked the day we were hoping. It is available on an alternate date but we are booked for the 5:15 Aloha Dinner Show. Would there be enough time to get from the Aloha Show back to MK without rushing to make the fireworks cruise?

For Pirates & Pals, you meet at the Contemporary. It looks like it begins at 8:45 and you should be there about 10 minutes early. The Spirit of Aloha show lasts about two hours according to reviews I've read. It seems like you should have plenty of time to get from the Poly to the Contemporary without feeling rushed.
