We leave in one week for WDW and this is the first time we are going on the DDP. We have all of our table service reservations done and can do quick service as we go, but we want to know what is the best way to use our snack credits? Any snacks that are a must have? We don't want to get to the end of the week and feel like we need to get water or popcorn just to use up credits!

I used a snack credit for what I'd almost call a meal (if it weren't candy).

It was a Mickey shaped rice krispies bar on a stick, dipped in white chocolate, then covered with reese's pieces, and then a white chocolate drizzle. :woohoo:

I got it in Downtown Disney at Goofy's Candy Co. I got to pick the combo, and they made it for me. It was huge!!!! Definately the best use of a snack credit ever (IMO).

Other ones I've enjoyed in no particular order:
Dole Whip in MK (a must have every trip);
Napoleon in France's Patisserie in Epcot; and
Warm Cinnamon Bun at the Main St. Bakery for breakfast.

Great for quick breakfast. I use resort mug to get hot tea, then snack credit for bagel or muffin.

Where are you staying? I think using the snack credit for the yogurt parfait at POR is a great deal! It's a huge serving and really filling for a breakfast (mind you my husband needs more food, but for me and a piece of fruit it's plenty till lunch).

We are staying at POR!

They make it to order with ingredients that you select. Give it a try with at least one snack credit. I don't think you will be disappointed.

:goodvibes

Here is what we like to spend our snack credits on....
- Dole Whip/Dole Whip Floats
- Soft Serve ice cream at various areas of different parks
- popcorn and pop/water
- make your own chocolate covered marshmallows at Goofy's Candy Co.
- Anything in the case at Goofy's Candy Co. (that is apart of the DDP)
- Frozen Cokes at Club Cool in Epcot
- Frozen Slushies at Goofy's Candy Co.
- Any frozen treats from the ice cream carts
- Haven't had this one yet, but will on our next trip...an ice cream cookie sandwich from Main Street Bakery

As you can see our family loves our snacks at Disney

- Gingerbread Mickey from Germany
- Pretzel from Germany
- Kaki Gori from Japan

- All leftover snack credits go towards Mickey rice krispy treats, rock candy, and snacks for the plane.

Some of my favourite items we got as snack credits were:

Caramel cupcake from Karamel Kuche in Germany
Caramel covered cookie from Karamel Kuche
Funnel cake (we got one at Animal Kingdom - I'm sure I've read somewhere that they are not always snack credits)
Giant pretzel
Beignets from POFQ (we were also staying at POR and walked along to the food court at FQ so we could try these - so worth the walk!)
Various ice creams, frozen treats, slushies etc
Dole Whip float (I actually didn't like this but still thought it was a good use of a snack credit as I probably wouldn't have tried it otherwise)

I know others have said it but I feel like it must be said again: dole whip

Also, the pretzels in Germany, cinnamon almonds (I think they sell them on main street) and funnel cakes!

-Anything from the caramel shop in Germany at Epcot
-Ice cream cone from Beaches n Cream to go at BC/YC
-Red Velvet Cheesecake Cupcake from Starring Rolls in HS
-Dole Whip in MK
-Schoolbread or other Norweigan pastry at Epcot

DH says pretzel from Germany or churros from Mexico

With our family of four and our usual 8 or 9 nights we seem to always end up with a lot of snack credits left over. Usually we load up on fudge and take it home with us. It is a little taste of Disney to enjoy at home.

Some of our favorite snacks are:
Beignets from POFQ...I hop the bus to go there just for the beignets...
Cupcakes or other pastry from Starring Rolls at Hollywood Studios
Hand made Ice Cream Sandwiches at Main St. Bakery...They are HUGE and Delicious!!!
Dole Whip Floats at MK
Glazed Nuts (I usually get them on the carts at HS or EPCOT)
And don't forget that the Ice Cream Floats are now being served in each park and that way you will enjoy both Ice Cream AND soda!!!

We used a lot of our snack credits on Dole Whips and Mickey Premium ice creams our past trip. This was my 1st trip and I just couldn't seem to get enough of those Mickey ice creams. :rotfl: We also got slushies at Goofy's Candy Co. Those were so good!

We like to go to Pecos Bill's order the French Fries and then go to the fixings bar and load up on all our favorites from the bar. Quite a nice snack.

My husband and I ended up with a bunch of snacks left on our last day but we found good uses for them. Our favorites through the trip were:

MK - Pecos Bills - chili cheese fries! These were HUGE - we shared! And delicious.
Epcot - Germany's Karamel Kuuche (I can't spell that, ever) - an apple caramel oatmeal cookie. Delicious! they had lots of caramel treats that counted as snacks!
HS - Candy shop at the start of Sunset Blvd - carrot cake cookie - also huge and good for sharing. Its 2 carrot cake cookies with cream cheese frosting in the middle. This is another location with lots of snacks available.

value resort food court nachos
gravy and biscuits
norway school bread
AK yak and yeti chicken fried rice.
soft serve at wilderness lodge roaring forks (best ice cream on the planet)
dole whips at MK or poly captain cookes
starring rolls cup cakes
popcorn
kusifari bakery in AK elephant cupcake or paw print brownie
funnel cakes.. (doesn't count in epcot)
