Best Fast Pass Strategy

I am in charge of booking FPs for our upcoming trip. I've planned a trip with FP+ before, but this trip has a few wrinkles that have me questioning which booking strategy will work best. Me, DH, DS and my parents. DH, DS and I are flying to Orlando the day before my parents and staying for one night at AS Movies. We're then moving to AKL to join my parents. We bought our rooms and tickets separately and everything is properly linked up in my online account.

My understanding is that DH, DS and I can book our fastpasses one day earlier than my parents because we are arriving earlier. My question is, should we? That would mean booking fastpasses for the 3 of us one day and then trying to book overlapping fastpasses for my parents the following day? Will this make it easier to get fastpasses for everyone? Or am I just doubling my work for no reason?

UNLESS your parents did NOT purchase their tickets as part of their resort stay.

If your parents have stand-alone tickets or APs:
You can book (starting 60 days from your check-in date and for your length-of-stay) all of the FPs for everyone who is connected to you on your MDX account.

Thanks very much. I had no idea that I could book everyone's FPs on the earlier date. My understanding was that the booking window was always linked to resort arrival. This simplifies everything.
