Best face mask in heat

We are planning on visiting in August and I know it will be HOT so I am wondering if any of you may have recommendations on masks you've worn in the heat that were more comfortable/breathable than others. Here in PA the masks we wear daily are thicker and close fitting, and while they were not uncomfortable for us last summer here in PA, I imagine it may be a little bit less comfortable when we are out and about all day long in the florida heat and humidity. Not looking to debate masks at all, but genuninely interested in the most comfortable and effective options for August weather in Florida.

Thank you!

BOCO Gear is proud to offer a new style of face mask – the performance X (for exercise) mask. An updated, lighter version of the original BOCO Face Mask, the X mask is made for performance and high output activities. Consisting of two layers of durable knit performance fabric, the internal layer features a slit that can hold a filter for additional protection. The soft elastic is sewn to both the top and bottom of the mask for a secure fit over the ears. These masks cover the mouth and nose comfortably.

I like the regular surgical masks. Maybe I’m just used to them, as a nurse I wear them all day, but I think they’re the lightest and I like being able to get a new one basically anytime I want/need it.

I bought some double layer chiffon ones on etsy. They feel like you are not wearing anything (Not very protective though). I bought them to wear outside or for exercise when we need to wear a mask to meet mandates, but are not near others. Otherwise I second PP with the paper disposable.

We just got through a week using disposable Dr. Puri KF94s from Korea. I felt like they worked well and were much more comfortable in the heat than cloth masks while fitting my face better than a surgical mask. They also store totally flat and come individually wrapped, so it’s easy to bring a back up or two in a back pack in case of rain, sweat, ride loss, etc.

I only trust one distributor in the US though, and I’m unsure if I’m allowed to post the website name on the forum! Feel free to PM me if you’re curious.

I just did a week in April with these https://us.blochworld.com/products/bloch-b-safe-adult-face-mask-black. I liked that they are adjustable and even though they are two layers were not hot for me. It was in the 80s, some days upper 80s so not summer temps but I didn't have any problems wearing them all day, sometime even forgot I had them on. I also bought some straps to put on them so when I ate I could just drop them down and not worry about putting them down on anything. I wear paper surgical masks at home but they don't fit as well as these since I have a tiny head.

I recently purchased double layer, chiffon from an Etsy seller. I live in South Florida, face masks can be suffocating. I love the chiffon masks, very comfortable and I feel like I can breath. I have been vaccinated, so feel a little more comfortable wearing them. Protection is probably better than not wearing mask, though not as good as other triple layer fabrics. I will be taking the chiffon masks to Disneyworld.

I haven't tried at WDW but since the pandemic started, we've bought several KF94 masks that are made from Korea and have worn them all the time, including in the 95-degree heat with full humidity. They are much seal better than the regular surgical masks and 3-D shape does not touch your nose/ mouth so its more bearable.

My DH and DS love the moisture wick under armour masks. Although I haven't tried them, they swear it is much cooler and more tolerable in the parks. Hope you find something that works well for you!

The ones the CMs wear..... seriously, they are the absolute best, well not having to wear one at all would be the best. I was able to get one that is the same style with a different print.

I can’t find my thread but I asked this a month or two ago. Approx. half said the paper, surgical ones were easier in the heat.

My other half has a physically demanding job (read: sweaty), and he likes the Reebok and Nike wicking ones.

Which one is this?
