Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure

Kim Possible Adventure Review and Photos
A new interactive experience has opened at Epcot. Disney's "Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure" will have guests partnering with "Team Possible" in saving the world from villains and their mad inventions.

Guests will be given a "Kimmunicator" found at kiosks in Epcot. These interactive devices will use state-of-the-art technology which will aid them in finding the Kim Possible characters who will give them the clues needed to find the villians and stop their quest for world domination.

There will be top secret devices hidden in the World Showcase pavilions at Mexico, Norway, China, Japan, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. At each country, there will be a villain from the Kim Possible TV show and a unque event for the guest "agents" to take part in.

Jim MacPhee, Epcot Vice President stated "Disney’s Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure is an example of a next generation attraction that offers fun and excitement for the entire family. We are constantly exploring new ways to provide immersive experiences to Epcot guests, and this new offering will add to our dynamic portfolio."

Bruce Vaughn, Chief Creative Executive of Walt Disney Imagineering commented “Today’s emerging generation expects more immersive, personal and interactive experiences in every facet of their lives, including their entertainment choices. As leaders in family entertainment, Disney theme parks push the envelope by combining state-of-the-art technology with creative storytelling to enhance the overall Disney vacation experience.”

HELP. Still looking for some input.

IMwink - do you have this on an office document? If so, would you mind sending it to me???? I would love to have your list, and I'd love to add/change it for my purposes, but I don't want to print out the whole thing.

If you have it and don't mind, I'm at CathieArms@yahoo.com.

Thank you!

Hiya! Here are some of my favorite things to do at Epcot:

1. Definitely make sure you go see Miyuki. She does an amazing job!! Make sure you get there around 15-25 minutes before the show starts and stand right in front. The show lasts for 20 minutes, but it is at various times throughout the day, so make sure you check your times guide.

2. Trying foods from all the countries is a must! The Napolean at Boulangerie Patisserie in France is the most delicious pastry I have ever had! The chips from the Yorkshire County Fish Shop in England are also really good!! I would also suggest buying some food in the shops to bring home and try later - the candy in England is wonderful!

3. Since you are going in July, there will be some performers at the American Gardens Theatre. Here is the schedule:

Stayin Alive (Tribute to the Bee Gees) – June 15 to June 21
Hotel California (Tribute to the Eagles) – June 22 to June 28
Slippery When Wet (Tribute to Bon Jovi) – June 29 to July 8
TBD – July 9 to July 19
Sounds of the Supremes (Tribute to The Supremes) – July 20 to July 26
2U (Tribute to U2) – July 27 to August 2
Petty Theft (Tribute to Tom Petty) – August 3 to August 9

Showtimes are schedule for 5:45 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 8:15 p.m.—except on July 4. On July 4, showtimes are scheduled for 5:15 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Hope this helps and have a wonderful trip!! :)

HELP. Still looking for some input.

We always take a picture at each country. One beside the sign and another somewhere inside the country. A fun photo is one beside the totem poles in Canada.

I have only 1 item of advice:
If it's your 1st time riding Mission Space, make sure your capsule has "barf bags" in stock!!! Ours did not, and my DS got horribly sick on himself and my DH. :scared1: We had no changing clothes, so we had to head back to our room at W.L. What a pain.

Oh yeah, we loved Sunshine Seasons. Our sandwiches were made fresh to order. :thumbsup2

This is a wonderful compilation thread.

Just one thing stands out as not quite right. You have Japanese drummers performing in the Mexico area. The Mariache Band usually performs there, and they are great!

Also you may want to add check out the event schedule for the day and make sure you don't miss the colonial garbed fife and drum corp perform in front of the American Pavilion. This is so well done and is quite moving to watch.

Under Future World Tips, I don't see the jumping water fountains mentioned. They're located near the Imagination pavillion and are pretty amazing. :)

There are several spots around the parks that are marked with Kodak Photo Spot markers.

A photo that I can think of, that is very corny but fun, is to go to the far side of the World Showcase, (usually across from Italy is a good spot) and position the person or people in the picture so that it looks like they are holding Spaceship Earth in their hands.

Pretty much every country in Epcot's World Showcase has hats from that nation that you can try on for a picture.

Very often, if you take a picture of Off Kilter in Canada, while they are playing, they will assume a crazy pose for you, never missing a beat!

In one of the Norway giftshops, the kids can put helmets with horns on, grab a sword and pretend to be fighting with the giant troll.

One of the most famous photo op's in Epcot is called "Beverly Face".
Here's what you do. Go to Club Cool, get a free cup of the Italian soft drink called Beverly. Now have your camera ready to catch the reaction when someone takes a sip. I'm not saying another word... :rolleyes1

Pose outside each ride, with people pointing towards the name of the ride or posing by the sign. They can assume a pose to match the ride theme. For example, playing air guitar for RockN'Roller Coaster, Looking up at the sky for Mission:Space, holding on to each other and looking scared for Haunted Mansion, etc.

At the DHS, I love the pictures on the Streets of America area that looks like San Francisco. It's amazing how realistic a pic of the fake big hill looks.

Also on DHS Streets of America, there is a lightpost that has an umbrella attached. You can pose like Gene Kelly in Singin' In The Rain.
(If you need to see the famous pose, Google search a pic of it.)

Near Star Tours (DHS) there is a flying motorcycle-like vehicle that is set up for picture taking.

Also at DHS, on Sunset Blvd., there is a pile of old fashioned suitcases by a Route 66 sign. You can get really cute pics there. Sitting on a suitcase, leaning on the sign, looking like you are waiting for a bus.

If you position the person correctly, you can get a shot that looks like the big blue Sorcerer's hat is on someone's head.

If you are using PhotoPass, ask the photographers if they have any special enhanced pictures that they can take. They take an adorable shot where they have you pose holding your hands out, palms up and when you get the picture back, Tinkerbell appears magically in your hands! There are some others like that.

Can anybody think of any good AK or MK photo ops?

Updated and moved the Japaneese Drummers to the right spot (copy and paste error!)

Just to be sure, do I have this right?

8. The Jumping Fountains - near the fountain of Nations there is a place where kids can walk and get wet by jets of water jumping from on place on the ground to another.

Thanks for the picture Ideas Please keep them coming!

It's actually located near the exit from Honey I shrunk The Audience in the Imagination pavilion.
This is what it looks like.

I was thinking of the jumping water fountains near HISTA, Eljay. Have you seen this video?

The other water fountains should be mentioned. I guess they're called water jet play areas. Disney has a lot of them. In Epcot, they're there in that video and also at the start of the center bridge walking from Future World to the World Showcase.

They have them at the Contemporary and Pop Century pool areas and in Downtown too.

Did a little updating to the photo section
