Best Embarkation Day Purse/Bag

what's your best embarkation day purse / small bag suggestion? I am thinking it will need to be a little larger, but not too big and will need to keep our travel documents etc. Anyone have anything they absolutely love??

I carry a travel backpack (not a huge one) that holds my computer/iPad, travel documents and medications. The rest all goes in checked baggage.
