Best Eats From My May 2022 Trip

Here are some of my favorite eats from my most recent trip to WDW:

The Quattro Formagi at Via Napoli. My goodness this is SO GOOD. The Cheese has a hint of that char taste you get when you pour cheese in a skillet and it gets alittle brown. I love it. The blend of cheese is way different then their other pizzas so even if you love red sauce, give this white pizza a try.




Our 1 splurge was the California Grill, pre fix menu. The filet with the tomato butter on top was amazing as was the short rib wonton, slightly sweet caramelized onion melt in your mouth short rib taste


Boathouse blew me away considering I had bad tasting food from there in my prior trips. The grilled mahi mahi sandwich was so fresh, thick, juicy, fluffy and white like a seabass, seasoned to perfection, no fishy taste. We went back twice for that!

The $9.50 MK cheeseburger eggrolls. So expensive but so good!


Vanilla swirl on the Polynesian beach. I prefer that over Dole whip but the beach enhanced it.



The chicken skewer in Morroco. Oh baby. Char taste, juicy, garlicy spread on top. Amazing.


My favorite value eat was the kids salmon from sunshine seasons. $8. Salmon is fire grilled, seasoned amazingly, a go to.


The quickservice pizza from Saratoga Springs is the best quickservice pizza on Disney property. Scratch made in a wood oven. I was blown away.

Pet peeve: I don't like how Via Napoli quite often doesn't put toppings to the edge.

The pizza looks delicious! I could just go a slice right now. I can't wait to try the cheeseburger spring roll, my previous 8 visits have been mid-late December and the cart was nowhere to be seen, but hoping I'll find it in August.

Last year, the cart was gone by the afternoon. This trip it was there until the early evening, I was very surprised. It’s become so popular (and lucrative) that you’ll be able to get it most of the day now. Don’t forget to bring a bottle water or grab a drink with it. It’s very rich in flavor.

Those wontons at California Grill are spectacular. SO good. Pizza at WDW (& in Florida in general) is pretty lacking except for Via Napoli and that Saratoga pizza looks yummy -- great find! I also adore that chicken skewer in Morocco and the carrot chickpea slaw. And bonus there's rarely a line there. Will add the grilled mahi sandwich at Boathouse to my wishlist.

Some more eats I loved:

Salmon at Brown Derby. It was crispy on the outside that I love, moist inside, creamy sauce below, heavenly buttery mashed potatoes. AMAZING. They used to have a Halibut that was even better but its not back in season yet.


The grilled corn on the Cobb with Indian spices at Animal Kingdom. Buttery, aromatic. Love it. Best corn on property.



The Tiramisu at Via Napoli. Creamy, sweet, hint of coffee. Excellent.



The s’mores at karamelle Kuche at Epcot. I’ve tried a lot of things from this store but this was one of the best and so unique Not like a grocery store s’more, it’s a handmade fresh flavor and not hard or dry, it’s fluffy and smoothly can bite into it like it’s a pillow cushion.



The burger at Regal Eagle smokehouse. The Texas toast used for the burger was so good! The house made pickles are fresh and not very vinegary, the onion rings had a wonderful crust, the burger patty itself was good, it all came togethe into one of my favorite quick service meals.


chili cheese fries from Casey’s corner. The chili is REALLY good. Classic, thick, not bitter, cheese is great, the fries were surprisingly good. I’m not a fan of standard Disney fries but these were fresh and fluffy inside, tasted great since Casey jr is busy and keeps cooking batches continuously.



The ever satisfying fruit waffle from sleepy hollow. It’s a go to of mine. Love the Nutella chocolate with fresh made waffle and tasty fruit. Such a great snack.
