Best/easiest way to connect friends in MDE for large group?

I am going to WDW with a large group (5 family units, including my own).

I am trying to get us all connected via MDE so we can share a Memory Maker, add each other to reservations, make Fast Passes, etc. Its been a struggle to say the least.

We basically have three MDE accounts (Mine, Family A and Family B) we are using for planning the trip.

Family A is added another family (two parents and two kids) to their MDE account (they don't want/need their own), but when I go to link them to my MDE account via Friends and Family and "Find through my Connected Guests" their names don't appear. I previously added Family A's kids that way with no issue weeks ago.

That is what that option is for, right? To find "friends/family" of already connected friends.

Same goes for Family B. I am already linked to the mother and kids, but they are also adding the kid's grandparents to their MDE account and I am struggling to have them show up so I can link them as well.

I'd rather not add them all manually myself and send a link request later (as I really don't have their full names or ages, (though I could get them .. just takes a lot of back and forth e-mails).

Am I doing something wrong, does it just take a while for them to show up or is the system just not consistent?

It could possibly be due to the new additions being added onto MDE A and B after the friend request linking was accepted.

Perhaps @erionm knows why the newly added people can't be linked to your MDE.
