Best DVC for Marathon

My DH and children will finally be able to come w/ me to the Marathon weekend!

We're considering one of the Epcot locations. Which one would you suggest for kids aged 11,7 and 4? 4 yo really likes the little slide at SSR pool. By the time of the trip he may be ready for the bigger slide but just in case do BCV or BWV have a tiny slide?

Is either location easier to get in January?

SAB does have a small slide, its across from the main pool. Here are some shots:

I think the Luna pool at BW only have a kiddie pool with an elephant that sprinkles water.

OKW is the best DVC to stay at for the marathon. You can walk to the start (which lines up on road to Epcot from OKW). If you stay at an Epcot resort, you'll have to take a bus to the start because you can't walk through Epcot at 3AM.

Both BWV and BCV could be hard to get in Jan.

Either BCV or BWV would be fine. The BWV kiddie pool does not to my knowledge have a slide. There should be availability at 7 months out at least for BWV preferred (pool and garden view). The runners actually go past SAB on the sidewalk by the lake of YC and BC (at least they do for the half marathon on Sat, can't remember if for the Sun marathon also).

I never thought about the start being so close to OKW. I was thinking that the family would have an easier time getting to the finish line if we stayed at one of the Epcot locations. Thanks for all the tips.

You have that mixed up. They go back and forth to MK for the half. The full on Sunday goes past the Epcot resorts.

We had fun cheering on the runners from our BWV balcony (boardwalk view). It's the last 2 miles of the full marathon, and I think some of the runners were surprised to her cheering above them! It was neat to watch them work so hard while I lounged around in my pajamas.
