Our second child is due to arrive this month and we are planning to head down to WDW in December. Our oldest will be 6 by then and says he still wants the stroller to share with his brother. What is a good but semi-affordable stroller that will comfortably fit a 6 year old and almost 1 year old? We will have another trip or 2 in 2022 where we will likely use the double stroller again but then I am hoping my older one will go to walking by the time he turns 7. Since we only plan to use it for 3 trips, I hate to shell out $$$$ for a double stroller but renting doesn't seem ideal since we will use it for 3 trips. I have tried to find reviews online but can't seem to get ideas of ones where older kids fit comfortably.

I would suggest some sort of sit and stand stroller. We have a single Bob jogging stroller with an Englacha Junior X Rider attachment (seat/standing board that holds up to 55 lbs) and we love it...paid $95 on FB marketplace. That's what we will be using when my oldest is 6. He is 5 now and we just started using this option on our most recent trip, as opposed to 2 single strollers like we had done in the past.

I would look at 2 singles with your kids ages. that way you can split up and each still have one plus if for some reason the little has to go back to resort it is a lot easier to do a little and a single stroller back to resort with just one person.

I would wait like the above poster said. However, I do have a sit and stand Joovy stroller that is a possibility. Bought on Amazon. We also have a side by side stroller but it wouldn't be good for a baby less than 1. It was also hard to turn because of such a difference in weight on one side.

Good point about weight proportions!!

I would "definitely" have the standup/sit the stroller available for him. He won't need it all the time. Just to rest a bit. Our 6 yr old used/needed it. It makes for a very long day if he's tired or worse if you have to leave because he is tired. Just watch for a good deal and grab it. I promise you won't be sorry.

We did a double stroller with a baby and toddler and decided never again! A double stroller is cumbersome on transportation and sometimes even just steering through the park. Our toddler was active but also wanted to share a stroller, so we actually shared the stroller. What worked for us was a baby sling plus single stroller. The sling was for the times the older child wanted a turn in the stroller AND for those lines and experiences where a stroller aren't allowed and I didn't want my arms to fall off carrying the baby for too long. YMMV

Great idea!!! Thanks for the tip.

6YO might be able to walk by the time of your trip. All of my kids did. I'd get a nice umbrella stroller (like a MacClaren) for the 1yo. It's just much easier getting the thing on-and-off buses, planes, whatever you might be riding.

He likes his down time in the stroller (watch a show or play with toys while we explore Epcot countries etc). When we went in November he did a half day without the stroller so I know he’s close but Im afraid of the jealousy with his brother. We already have a single britax we travel with now so it sounds like we will just stick with that and hope for the best.

another idea would be the single you now have and a carrier for the baby for when big brother needs the stroller. not the best idea but maybe a park rental around Epcot
