Next month, my wife and I are celebrating our 20th anniversary. We spent our honeymoon at Disney and have been back 13 times since. We have stayed at nearly every Disney resort and have found that the Swan/Dolphin complex is the best kept secret on the property. Now I am looking to make our celebration special. I need your help. I can get a reduced rate for a room but can't afford a suite or presidential room. I am looking for someone with advice on a room with a balcony or alcove and a GREAT view. A king size bed would be good, but if anyone stayed in an absolutely awesome room, please let me know the view you had, what made it special and the room number if you remember. The better the view, the greater we will like it. Thanks in advance.....

We're partial to the resort view on the West Wing side, which overlooks the lake and pool area.

I've heard the higher up you go, the prettier the view especially over towards Epcot.:D

If you want the best view of EPCOT and the Boardwal try for a room in either the 8020's or the 9020's. These are Deluxe rooms w/ balcony's (you can requesta King bed but there are a limited number of the rooms with King size beds and balconies). They are the top two fllors that have balconies w/ this view and offer an amazing view f Illuminations and sometimes even the fireworks from PI. Hope this helps and hope you have a magical trip!

Read through the posts, or do a search for 'king turret balcony room'. Jen stayed in a king corner room with two balconys on the east wing and loved it. Had a great view of Epcot .

Here's a photo from our 6th floor room #6025. It was a gorgeous view, and we could see Illuminations and depending on which way the wind was blowing, we could even hear the music for Tapestry of Dreams!

We had room #7015 when we went last February. It was a king premier room and was on the corner of the building, so we had two huge windows and two balconies, both with views of the Yacht/Beach Club, Boardwalk, and Epcot. We could see Illuminations every night from our room. Great room! IMHO, it was the best Epcot view room in the resort (other than the 9th floor room above us).
If you want an easy way to upgrade to this room, try this: book a king resort view room with a balcony, and request an "unobstructed view of Epcot" when making the reservation. Then, if you haven't already, sign up to be a Starwood Preferred Member and present this card when you check in. We were upgraded to this "premier room" and I'm told many other Starwood Preferred members have been upgraded as well. Good luck!
