Best Dolphin Cruise and Beach 2 hours or less from Disney

We have a beach day planned, and I would like to go out on the ocean to see the dolphins. I want a good Dolphin cruise, I want it to go out on the ocean, not in rivers. (some friends booked one, and didn't realize it was on a tiny pontoon boat down the rivers and coastal areas ). We don't have a particular beach destination picked yet, so any within 2 hours drive from Disney will work. Did you have one you liked? Any to stay away from?

Clearwater Beach is one of the best beaches, its about 1.5-1.75 hours from Orlando. We did the SeaScreamer dolphin tour last summer and it was a blast!

First they take you into the intercoastal, then you go out into the open ocean and go really fast for a while. Then you start to see dolphins and they jump in the wake of the boat. It is so cool! That same day we also ended up swimming with dolphins right by the pier at Clearwater beach, they just came up to us. Best day ever!!!

I agree with Clearwater Beach! We are regulars there and LOVE it!

However, I feel the SeaScreamer is a bit loud for my taste. We go on The Little Toot ( www.littletoot.us ) and it is always a blast! The owners are the sweetest around and the Dolphins actually know the Little Toot boat and come up just to say "Hi!" It is a calm yet exciting ride all in one! The back of the Little Toot boat (it's like a Tug Boat) dips down into the water and allows for closer access to the Dolphins.

We have also had Dolphin siting's out on the Pier like the previous poster said, and that is always an amazing treat!

Clearwater is a wonderful beach and great Town!! Enjoy!!
