It seems like there are a bunch out there and I'm having trouble choosing. We don't necessarily need to sled but we would like one with the most time spent with the dogs/puppies. Education and animal time is what we are looking for. I am fine booking privately. Any suggestions?

We booked through Alaska Excursions and did the sled dog adventure in Skagway in 2015. My kids were 6, 11, and 13 and we all had a great time and would highly recommend it. They still talk about the puppies! We also did the float plane in Ketchikan - that was awesome. You will have a great trip. We wish we could do it all again, it was the best vacation we've ever had!

We did Musher´s Camp in Skagway last may and it was great (https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/port-adventures/skagway-alaska-mushers-camp-sled-dog-experience/)! We were looking for something not too much on the expensive side and also wanted to avoid riding helicopters, so Musher´s Camp was perfect! It was really focused on interacting with the dogs and puppies and very educational. We were only two adults but there were also lots of children in our group and you could tell they loved it. We booked with Disney but you can also book thru Alaska Excursions, not sure if there´s a price difference or not.
