I am taking my 9 year old daughter to Disneyworld for her 10th Birthday in May. Shh....it is a surprise-lol. Is there a restaurant in The World that will really make a meal extra special?

I am doing the same thing for my daughters 10th in january, a girls only trip!
We are celabrating at Kona. She doesnt know we are going to disney, wont find out till xmas morning. But for the last 2 years when you asked her what she want to do for her birthday or what for dinner on her birthday she would say Kona, so that is where i booked.

1) Of course, you can order a specialty cake.
2) But, eateries only do sporadic activities for special events.
3) There are just too many "special events" to make every event "special".
4) Most will wish a happy birthday and delivery a cupcake with a candle.
5) Beyond that, it all depends upon the INDIVIDUAL CM as to what happens.

6) Some examples of what can happen
. . . group wishes for a happy birthday (HDDR, CM eateries)
. . . character-signed cards or place mats
. . . 2-3 waiters singing happy birthday (but, seldom)
. . . cupcake with candle
. . . personalized menu with birthday greetings and person's name

We are going for my DDs 9th birthday in May and she wants the breakfast with Mary Poppins at 1900 Park Place for her birthday and we are looking at Askerhus that night for her big sister (who will be 26 on Easter Sunday and is still in love with the Princesses) since Mary wants to go to EPCOT on her birthday.

We celebrated DS bday a few places last year. Liberty Tree Tavern did the most for him. They threw down confetti on the table when we came and they came around to sing happy bday. a few of the waitstaff. They banged the metal mugs and sang an unusual bday song but it was nice.
I saw a few people at beaches and cream celebrating their bday adn getting the kitchen sink. they make a big deal there and yell out and have everyone participate. i thought I might try there this year. b.c he loves the food and it was bday festive.
i heard that teppan edo gives the kid a chef hat and does something.
akerhaus gave my dd a cupcake and nothing else. chef mickeys the same thing. nothing special. if it is on the day maybe they will make it extra special. we did not celebrate on his actual bday.
