So this is the second year in a row that my boyfriend and I are going together to Disney. We had a great experience last year, but we're trying to think of more date type activities or locations to go to during our October/Food & Wine trip this year.

Any suggestions on some great date ideas at Disney? :goodvibes

OMG you came to the right place! DH and I love WDW and think it is so romantic. Since the word "date" means different things to different people I can give a few suggestions.

Romantic and quiet:MK
CA Grill then outside on their balcony for "Wishes"
Pick up food at either Poly or Grand Floridian from the quick serve and watch the Electric Light parade and Wishes on the beach.
Any deluxe resort at night is a nice walk if weather permits.
During parades and fireworks walk the deserted parts of MK
Pontoon boats can be rented for Wishes at the Poly Epcot is better though.
Epcot: being foodies my husband and I love just strolling WS and enjoying the F&W fest. Nice wine good food and a hand to hold what can be better.
Walk the Boardwalk the scene is beautiful and peaceful. You can walk full circle past the Swan and Dolphin over to Yacht and Beach and back to BW.
The grassy knoll in Morocco is a great place to sit and feel alone.
Paris has one table next to the crepes stand all by its self. Pick up some pastries and champagne and enjoy people watching or Illuminations.
The Breathless Cruise is very romantic. Just you ur honey and the driver in a Criss Craft replica boat. You can byob and food.
I can go on about Epcot for ever. We love to explore the back nooks of every country. Off the beaten paths where it is quiet.

Fun dates: Behind the scene tours. We are doing the Wild Animal Trek in Oct. Can't wait!
Drinks around the World (EPCOT)
Bob Jackson POR
Jelly Rolls
Beaches and Cream
Hit the pools! If your a WDW hotel guest you can go pool hopping except for AKV and Y&B Club.
Resort hopping is always nice. (w/o the pools.)
Downtown Disney is full of hustle and Bustle so is West End.
EPCOT has Kim Possible which is turning into Phineas and Ferb. DH and I have a blast doing the secret missions! You can pick up cocktails to reward yourself for a successful mission in each country!

Man I can't wait! 157 till AKV!

One of the best date night's wife and I had during food & wine festival was the 3d dessert party last year. if you can budget it in it was awesome. Great food, music, special fireworks viewing after the party, and evening dancing if you wanted to. We have done the 3d dessert for several years before that to and are going again this year!:cool1:

One of the most inexpensive date ideas is going to Downtown Disney and splitting and ice cream sundae from Ghiradellis in the evening while sitting down by the water and people watching.

As someone else mentioned, taking the behind the scenes tours are always fun and a unique way to celebrate and enjoy time with each other.

My fiancee and I have also participated in some of the free activities they have around the resorts, such as roasting marshmallows at Saratoga Springs.

We have also grabbed some food from a resort quick service restaurant, then rented bikes and drove off to a quieter spot to enjoy our lunch.

During Food and Wine Festival, they always offer special culinary presentations and cooking type classes; if you have the budget, this may be something to look into.

I hope this helps.

Relaxing in the rocking chairs over the Savannah or around the bon fire listening to storyteller at AKV is relaxing and romantic to us. :goodvibes

little off subject, but how are the crowds during the food / wine event?

On weekends it can be quite crowded and wait times at the booths are a little longer than during the week, but nothing so major that you shouldn't go. If you are able to go during a weekday, I would suggest you do so, but either way its still a fun experience.
