Best Dining Rotation

I was told by a cast member that you can no longer request specific rotations.
Too bad. We wanted to request Tritons for Christmas Day on our Wonder cruise.

I've never had any problem, but I don't request a specific rotation. For my upcoming 5 night cruise, I just requested that we don't get one specific MDR twice, which gives them two rotations they can put us in. You should be able to ask for Tritons on a specific night, without any guarantees of course, even though the CM may not know what the actual rotations might be.

A cast member on the phone. She said they couldn't even tell me what the rotations are for our cruise. We are on the Dec 23,2016 Wonder.
I think a PP poster is correct about saying that it depends who and when you ask. We're sailing on the Dream a few weeks earlier than you, and again on the Magic in January. The CM I spoke to on the phone a few weeks ago gladly took my request for a private table and the rotation I wanted for both cruises. Of course they give you the "it's not a guarantee, just a request" speech, and that is completely understandable. But so far we've always gotten our requests, possibly because we choose later dining. If you really want to make a request I suggest calling back and trying again until you get a CM who will take it.

What I've done when I have requested a rotation is rather than saying the names of the MDRs is to ask for the specific thing I want to be in my rotation. Such as "I would like to request to be in Animator's Palate on Pirate Night." That way when the people doing the assignments see that, they will know what rotation it is and the poor CM who may not even have access to what the rotations are doesn't have to try and figure it out.

I will just add as a reminder that it's best to keep the requests to one or maybe two. And to prioritize them. If you have a request for a private table, a request for a specific rotation, a request for a server and a request for an assistant server (who may well no longer be paired up as those pairings always change) without any priority order, the assigner won't know which is most important to you and you may end up with only one or none of your requests. The more requests you have on there, the harder it will be for them to meet them all - particularly with serving teams (you're really better off picking EITHER a server or assistant server if you insist on requesting one).

About 7 cruises ago, we requested animator's palate on the last night and since then, we have had that same request fulfilled every cruise since.
