I had a fabulous dining experience at the Storyteller's yest. The waitress (Maria) was by far THE best waitress I have ever had - anywhere! The chef (Chef Ralph) came to my table to discuss food preparation and nutritional info with me (so I could stay on my diet) - what a nice gesture. He and Maria seened genuinely concerned that I knew exactly what was in the food so I could make wise choices.

And chip n' dale! They were fabulous! They joked and played around with us - I had little stuffed C n Ds with me - they posed for pictures with the little ones - and had one pretend to eat my toast! They really got into the "baby" C n Ds - they signed too storybooks for our grand-daughter and posed for several pictures. Very accomodating!

I highly recommend this if you are Chip n Dale fans!

Sounds like a great experience!

What storybooks are you refering too? Does Storytellers give out storybooks?

No I had brought some Chip n Dale storybooks with me to get them to autograph. I thought that would make more sense to a child that has never been to DL yet than just an autograph on paper.

I absolutely love this meal! We always have great interaction. They aren't my favorite characters in the whole world, but they are a ton of fun, I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, the food is great, and it's one of the only character meals that costs about $40 for all for of us. It cannot be beat! Glad you had a great time.

That is a wonderful idea! I may have to try that on our next trip

I LOVE Chip n Dale where is this place?? Its called storytellers nest?where is that?

We made our character reservation PS there for the morning we leave. We won't have a lot of time..1 hour max for breakfast. Was the seating and service pretty quick? Is 1 hour a reasonable amount of time?

AWESOME! Thanks for the fantastic review. I have heard that chip and dale are INCREDIBLE when it comes to interaction. I was debating storytellers for my next trip, but I think you confirmed it right there for me. :thumbsup2 THANKS!

Storyteller's has great food and I really like their dinner buffet :goodvibes I should really try their breakfast. Chip N' Dale are the cutest of all the
Disney twins I've ever seen! :teeth:

As my username might suggest, my family is really into the chipmunks (that happens when you have a kid named Dale--LOL!). We LOVED the Storytellers breakfast we had last Dec! Loved, loved, LOVED it! :thumbsup2

We were on a Thursday morning, first seating (7am) on a non-EE day. There were only about 4 families in the whole restaurant and Dale (the chipmunk) sat with DS Dale a big chunk of our breakfast. The food was fresh, hot, varied and YUMMY! I thought the characters did a great job of "working" the restaurant--as few families as there were, LOL! We saw Dale (no Chip, though), Terk, Koka and Kenai, Meeko and the handler dude, Ranger Dave. Even Ranger Dave spent a lot of time with us!

Storytellers is on our "Must Do" list. Keep in mind, we are more about animals than Princesses. :teeth:

Barring any delays in seating, and if you do the buffet, it should be plenty of time. I've never ordered bkfst off the menu, so I don't know how long that would take. I'd just get there a little early, in case they're running late. Have fun!

Oredering off the menu has usually been pretty quick for us. Then again, we go really early like around 7:30 am and we are usually out within an hour. I just can't pay the buffet prices when the food off the menu is the same stuff I would pick up there anyways and we save $10-$15 per person!

Hope everyone has a wonderful meal there and you just persuaded me to make a PS there for our trip next week! I love the place~Thanks!!!

Pixie Dust,

We're having dinner at Storytellers during our stay at Christmas. Central Reservations made sure that I knew that there would not be any characters there for dinner which is ok with us. What is the dinner buffet like? Do you remember how much it cost? Is there any non character entainment (someone reading storybooks)?

Thanks,
Pocono

I'm glad you had a nice experience! We've eaten there 3 times and had terrible experiences all three times and now we won't ever go back!

Also you do not have to get the buffet, you can order off the menu. There's no way I could eat $26 worth of food, plus I love the Turkey sandwich and I get it every single time!! And if you are going with kids, my kids really enjoy the make your own pizza. It's fun for them and takes up time while we wait for the food!!

There really is no other entertainment going on, but I just love the atmosphere. It's very homey with frieplaces roaring and the glow from the lights above just makes it seem all warm to me. It's one of my favorites to dine at in the winter!!

The last time was dinner and it was terrible! I had made a PS for 6pm and we arrived at 5:45. We were not seated until after 7pm. Now I know PS are not guaranteed, but over an hour is a bit ridiculous. Then, we were seated and out waiter did not come over to our table for about 15 minutes. It took forever to get our drinks and for him to take our order. We ordered, then waited almost 45 minutes for our food. When the food came, two of the items (there were 7 of us) were cold and he forgot to put in one of the kids pizza orders. So, while we all ate, my 5 year old niece had to wait for them to make her pizza. She finally got it about 15 minutes after we started eating. Our waiter only came to check on us once. I had to go find someone to come and refill our drinks for us. To top it all off, the food was nothing special and over priced in my opinion!

I know many have had wonderful experiences, but after trying someplace 3 times and it being bad all three times, it's just not someplace I want to spend my time or money on ever again!
