Best decorated MOD for the holidays?

Hi all. We are planning a late November trip and for those of you in the know-can you tell me which of the Moderate Resorts is decorated the nicest during the Christmas season? We looked into a Deluxe, but no way we are spending that kind of money right before the holidays. Thank you.

We stayed POR week before Christmas it was nice big tree in lobby and a few decorations in the store and poinsettias out back but other than that the mods and values do not go all put like the deluxes.

You'll have to check out GF(breathtaking) and WL and BC once all their decos are up!

Thank you! I am currently now pricing Wilderness because my husband has always wanted to stay there. Also looking at BC, as we would love to stay at an Epcot resort. Are all of the decorations usually up by Thanksgiving week?

I think so we were there Nov 13&14 one year and the only thing missing at that time was the HUGE tree in MK so I think by that time it would all be up!

All the moderates have similar decorations. There is usually a tree and swag in the lobby. The decorations on the tree tends to be themed to the resorts (e.g., sea life on the tree at Caribbean Beach). Of the moderates, I liked POFQ the best. The decorations were purple and gold and very festive.

If you can swing WL, I would recommend that. It has some of, if not the best holiday decorations in WDW.

WL is beautiful at Christmas. I think it's perfect for the season with the whole mountain-wilderness thing going on!
Not sure what your needs are, but have you considered renting DVC points? It might make WL a more affordable option for you.

Thank you all. I think I may surprise my DH with Wilderness. It is one of the cheapest of the Deluxes (along with AKL, but we have stayed there and I would like to try something new). We like that the boat goes to MK and Contemporary. I may just tell him we are staying at a Mod and when we get there pull up to WL.
