I have been doing some research online and can't believe how much the prices have changed since hubby and I went for 2-nights in September 2005. Okay, I know its 3yrs ago! But still!!!

We stayed at Santa Fe hotel, went on Eurostar, park tickets included and it was £150 each!

For the same deal this year, but going in October and for only 1-night - its coming out at £475!!!

As the Eurostar and Disney Hotel seem the 'easy option' and as we plan on only staying 1-night, will prob. maximise our time there... I'd be grateful of any recommendations on where we can look to book it through to get a better price?

Or does anyone think we will be better off driving via Eurotunnel (which hubby is happy to do, we live in Hants but got married in Scotland so spent many a weekend on road trips!) and staying in an off-site hotel but going for 2-nights perhaps?

What does the Hotel Cheyenne compare like to Santa Fe? Like to try somewhere new if we can!

Any recommendations for nice, clean, cosy off-site accomm?

Sorry for all the questions and thanking you in advance for any responses!

Have you tried booking direct with Disney and Eurostar rather than using an agent?

Also October seems to be a dearer time to go, September is always cheap too. Maybe try playing around with dates if possible.

There is a list of budget hotels in the Really Usefull sticky at the top of the forum which could help if you plan on going it alone.

If you can leave it til January, you could go really cheaply.
The official Disney site still has great prices, but it does depend on when you go. They often have special offers, extra nights free etc.

One of my friends recently got a quote from a travel agent for her family, for one night/2days - nearly £1,000 right at the beginning of December. I've looked for her, getting the price for the hotel/tickets from the Disney site, then getting the flight prices separately, and it can be done quite easily for less than £650 - same dates, same flights and hotel, everything.

There was an offer in my local Thomas Cook over the weekend for 2 nights at the Santa Fe on from December 2nd, self drive for a family of four for £399 which I thought was rather reasonable. Elaine is definatly right about January, probably why there are so many DISers going in January :cool1:

Thanks for the tips - I'll have a look at the sticky post above! The prices I'm getting are directly from Eurostar... can't seem to access the official Disney Paris website???

We want to go in October as 20th Oct is our wedding anniversary - but with half term we are a bit stuck! Think hubby will agree to moving the trip, so going to now look around for Sept and Nov. Thanks again!!!

From what I remember from when I was looking the last two weeks of October were getting more expensive due to the Halloween Parties and half terms, hence why we are off to DLRP in early October

the offical DLP website seems to be down at the moment.

Might be because my friend Pierre is the webmaster for the site and hes on holiday for 3 weeks LOL

if you book with DLP and Eurostar direct register with Quidco first because if you use the link from them you'll earn some cashback :) When I was pricing October I literally jiggled around with the dates and earlier in the month and after the 20th seemed to be the most expensive so if you don't mind celebrating your anniversary a couple of days earlier it may work out cheaper.

I would also say the Hotel Cheyenne is lovely, I think I'm a bit of a cowgirl at heart but the accomodation is adequate (we never really spend that long in the room) and you can always go and take a look at other hotels if you've got some time to spare.

Hope you find a good deal soon.
