In process of buying and already got my referal. I believe I am down to $88 a point and just want to make sure I am not missing something.

Are they throwing anything else if you play hardball?

Like season passes
Gift cards
ETC

Lets use this as a place to know what the deals are.

Thanks

Not sure if there are better deals available, but playing hardball will not help you get one. DVC doesn't do the hardball thing.
I think $88 may be the bottom.

Right now is the lowest I have seen for GCV and an EXCELLENT price IMHO
There is no hardball with Disney, you get what you get when you sign unfortunately.
It's a great time to buy as GCV will continue to sell better as DCA construction continues, and being the smallest DVC I would purchase sooner rather than later, it's a great deal!
Welcome home (little early):thumbsup2

Nope, no negotiations with Disney I am afraid. Plus, I would not delay if my mind was made up. I have heard these incentives will be going away soon....

I think that price is excellent! The only way I think you could get anything extra would be if you had gone to a presentation at the park and then you sometimes get a gift card or someting like that. Since you already have a guide and referral I think you're pretty well at the bottom. And really, that is a great deal.

Well I am going to purchase and agree with everything said. Being new and not knowing how to play the game, I just wanted to get advice from others.

Thanks a lot.

I think that's about the price we had. We were at $15k after a $2k deposit with 200 points. That is an amazing deal! We did get $45 in gift cards but I think they give those to everyone after doing the DVC tour at WDW.

We bought there because of the price, but the next day canceled that contract and switched to BLT because we wanted something in WDW.

Cash incentives or discounts are better than what they were offering - worthless RCI certificates, we bought earlier this year, I now wish I'd never heard of DVC.....

Wow...really? I mean I can see you being disappointed in the RCI thing..I've heard pretty bad things about trying to get booked ANYWHERE..but surely you didn't buy in just for the RCI certificate. I'm sure when you go stay at your resort you'll have wonderful times! Even if I didn't get the DP or any price discount, I might be disappointed in that aspect, but I'd still want to have my DVC points for 50 years.

I agree, we got no incentives what so ever when we bought at VWL. The only incentive was being a member of DVC, and it is the best purchase we have ever made.

I paid for the accommodations that were part of the incentive - it is not just somethingthat came out of thin air.

You pay $1500 for something, and don't get it - how would you react?

I would gladly get the credit back or swap the entire package out for the current discount, but DVC is still "trying to make it right with RCI" before anything like that can be done - I'm on my third month of this.....
