Best Deals for Cruises

Just back from WDW and have decided we would like to do a cruise the next time (probably 2 years from now). Where/how do you get the best prices? Are there ever postcards/email discounts like there are for the Disney resorts?

This is our 2nd trip and both times we have booked through Dreams Unlimited Travel. They are great! Prices and service is wonderful!! We have also booked a DW trip with them and they were great with that too!!

There aren't codes like at Disney - generally the ship sails fairly full so there isn't a lot of need to "fire sale" rooms. When they do "fire sale" rooms, its usually to CMs and Florida residents, by the time they hit the general population, there aren't rooms left. Although occationally Expedia will have something on short notice. The other problem is that short notice fire sales often are adults only. DCL only allows a certain number of children to sale (the kids clubs reach capacity) and that happens almost every cruise.

The best deals happen booking early - as the ship fills the prices increase. Different agencies will also give you breaks, Dreams Unlimited usually rebates depending on the total value of your cruise. People have gotten good prices from Costco and allseastravel as well. We use DU because they sponsor the board.

I checked into some prices with Dreams Unlimited and also Allears.... I believe its mouseearvacations.com
Believe it or not, I got a better price from mouseearvacations. Sad to say, we are probably not going....
Hubby is making me crazy!

FL Resident pricing cannot be categorized as "fire sale"....it is a sweeping discount offered for most stateroom categories for most cruises....the only caveat is that the discount is not usually released for a specific date until 2 months prior....If you are counting on a specific stateroom, you may have to be extra flexible....
