If a person isn't a AAA member, where is the best place to book a package to get good prices?

I am a AAA member and I got a better deal going directly through Disney!! :thumbsup2

I agree. The only exception I have found is somtimes the "room only" prices, but I tend to buy the packages. HTH! :wave2:

There are plenty of great online travel agencies out there that specialize in doing Disney (our gracious hosts here at the Dis for one!) Our family has used Pixiedust-Travel.com and they have gone above and beyond in helping our family plan our vacation. They even sent the kids autograph books and cameras as gifts.

I saved about $200 booking thru AAA. I called and asked for a quote so I joined and that is about what I saved after paying the membership fee. I have used it already for another hotel stay. Plus there are many other retail discounts available too. I would call and ask for a quote. Compare it to what WDW can do for you. AAA does not have to book it for you. You can ask WDW for the AAA rate if it is available. Not all rooms are discounted. It is a percentage of rooms that are blocked off. And the amount you save correlates with the season you are booking your room in. Good luck - shop around and see what you can do!

We go with the room only reservations and if an AP rate doesn't come out or if one is not offered, for the price of a AAA membership it pays. We mostly travel to WDW by Amtrak and AAA gives a 10% on fares plus the 10-15% discounts on WDW room rates its a big savings joining AAA. We also have the advantage of each having our AAA cards to use while at home traveling to and from work or visiting the kids which we do by car. Big edge for us.

I went through AAA and saved over $200 over the Disney rate also. I saved even more than a couple of the Disney only on-line travel sites.

Lots of good deals out there, you can also rent DVC points and stay at a DVC resort.

Ok...I save with AAA, and I am a member. My DSIL is not though and they called my AAA TA and talked to her and went through AAA with no problem. They never even asked her if she was a member. I generally save enough on my room to cover our travel insurance.

I just booked with AAA last night, I saved 250 over Disney price. I usually book room only with AAA or annual pass rate but this time I wanted the dining plan so had to book direct with AAA. but still saved. pirate:

My only problem with these points is I heard that for weekends its double the points, thats why most people move out to a value on the weekend if they want to stay longer than 5 nights, and then return to their DVC resort, seem like too much of a pain.
