best deal for wdw hotel

I've only been to WDW 3 times, and have always done a package (AAA, AmEX). I'd like to try to do it myself, so I get the best deal. Any recommendations on how to get the best hotel price? I'd like to stay on WDW property.

deal on mousesavers, this is an "everyone" price: 1/2 - 2/13 55.00 for value.

it`s a great board with good information reg. Orlando and Kissimee hotels, some people did get great deals for the Swan or Dolphin for 75 USD a night !!!

Stephan--OP wants to stay on WDW property. PL WON'T WORK since there is no way to limit bidding to on WDW property. It appears (from the posts on BFT) that very few people get S/D. DON'T USE PL if you want to stay at S/D.

You can get good discounts at S/D with EB, occupational discounts and AP. Check the S/D thread in the resort board.
