Best days for arrival/departure?

We are planning a spring trip to WDW with our 2 daughters (will be 5 and 18 mos at the time). Do any of you frequent WDW travelers have recommendations for arrival and departure days of the week. We will be flying so we will want to stay over a Sat. night (for lower airfares). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

we always arrive on Wednesday....not sure why but that is just how it is always worked out...

We usually arrive on Saturday morning. Saturdays must be popular because by the afternoon, the check in lines look really long.

We used to go from Saturday to Saturday, but now find that the airfare is much cheaper flying during the week. We now go on Wednesday. I was surprised the last trip I made though. I was checking in to POP on a Wednesday afternoon and I had to wait over an hour to check in. I would have hated to be there on a Saturday!

We will be checking in on Saturday out of necessity but I understand that Saturday is NUMBER ONE in popularity for checking in. You may want to avoid it if possibel.

We will arrive on a Wednesday afternoon. In the past I have arrived on a Sunday or Monday. It will be interesting to see the difference.

I'd avoid the weekend & Monday's-business travelers leave then.

My last trip we did Wed-Wed, in 2 weeks we are doing Tues-Tues.

I really didn't care which day we were going to leave on but I wanted to be there for the full weekend which left Sat & Sun out.

I only work on Sunday (SAHM/PT RN) & my dh can take off any time so I just looked to see which day gave me the cheapest airfare & then went from there.
