Best day to visit?

We are planning to visit IOA and US this Sunday and Monday. What are the crowds like? Which rides should we visit first to avoid long lines? Is Sunday better for US or IOA as far as crowds? Any in-the-parks dining suggestions? We can't wait!

Saturday is generally busier than Sunday. Sunday is the slowest day.

At the parks, arrive at 8:30 and do the rides in this order:

IOA:
Spider-Man
Fearfall
Hulk
Cat in the Hat
One Fish, etc.
Get a Universal Express ticket for Posideon's Fury (if available)
Dueling Dragons (Fire and Ice)
JPRA
Ripsaw Falls
Popeye
Posideon's Fury
Caro-seuss-el
Sinbad
Ticeratops Encounter (if open)
Then enjoy the park at your leisure

USF:
Universal Express ticket for Hanna Barbera
MiB (if you want to ride together as a group)
BTTF
Jaws
Earthquake
Kongfrontation
Twister
Hanna Barbera
T2 (if show is available. If not, grab a UE pass)
Then enjoy the shows and other rides you liked at your leisure.

We went to IOA on Sunday 11/4. It was funny because our plan was to go to Spiderman first. There were all these people waiting in the Super Hero Island area waiting to be let in that area. When they finally let us in we started walking extremely fast towards Spiderman, and everyone else ran for Hulk. Needless to say, we were the first ones, and only ones riding Spiderman at that time. The ride malfunctioned so they let us go through again without getting out of our car. We then went to the Hulk and had almost no wait and ended up going on two times in a row. We had front of the line priveleges and almost never used them that day. I would say Sunday is definately a great day to go to IOA.

I think that with the general downturn in tourist traffic -- and let's hope it doesn't last!! -- that any day you go you're likely to find the crowds smaller than the last time you went to any Orlando park.

So the answer to what's the best day? becomes "Any day you can get there!!"

A question for Barry -

If you don't mind doing the single rider line for MIB, where would you put that in the Universal tour plan you listed above??

What about ET?

Thanks!

Preb,
As far as in the park dining--MYTHOS in IOA. It's not your usual theme park restaurant.
