Best day to fly to Orlando?

We plan to go to DW in early Dec (2009) -- would airports/flights be less crowded if we travel on a weekday rather than on a Sat or Sun or does that not really matter....IE to business tvlers on the weekdays pretty much make flts as full as on weekends wiht leisure travelers?

ALSO...I'd assume that Disney is more crowded on weekends than weekdays...so maybe travel on weekends are GOOD in the sense that you don't waste a weekday in the airplane?

I've heard that flights are cheaper if you fly on Tues or Weds. Don't know if that's true year-round. Seems to hold true for the times I was looking at going (not Dec, BTW). I'm sure the experienced travelers on this board can give you their opinions.

For our upcoming trip we have booked Tuesday to Wednesday (8 nights), where we found both the best fares and easiest travel (most of the time). Ideally we would have started the trip earlier (more days at WDW), but a German cousin is coming into town, and we want to be sure to see them (should have invited them to WDW I guess).

IMO, if it ends with a trip to WDW, any one that ends in 'y'

But you'll have lots of 'vacation' types on the weekends, and lots of 'worker' types on the weekdays. I know from columbus, ohio it appears that the best day would be thursday (looking at prices) to MCO and actually Saturday back home to Ohio.

We've always had good airfare (including Dec) deals by flying on Tuesday or Thursday. Wednesday has also been good, and SOMETIMES Saturday (not this year).

IMHO, parks usually seem a little less crowded during the week than weekends.

Also, IMHO, our airport is the least busy during mid day, Tuesday/Wed/Thursday flights. When I worked, it was our policy to encourage early or late flights (fly on your own time), so maybe that's why.
