I have been to WDW several times (usually during spring break). My question is this-- At what time of year do you like to go the most??? and What holiday celebration do you like the most??? I love going Jan/Feb/Mar, but we have never gone as a family before. My son will get to do Make a Wish and it will be our first ever family vacation so we have to pick some dates. Thank you all in advance.

I love the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas--BEFORE the xmas crowds arrive. You can see all the holiday decorations in the parks and at the resorts and it's a great lead up to the holiday period. :santa: Though the next trip is scheduled for the first week in October due to family scheduling issues--so now I have the F & W Festival to anticipate:woohoo:

It is hard for me to pick what time I like best. We love October because we really enjoy lower crowds and MNSSHP. We also like October to early November for F&W Festival, although that is really more of an adult thing IMO. Mid-November to right before Christmas is great because of the decorations being up and MVMCP. If I was going to plan strictly based on crowds, I would probably pick February (not Presidents weekend) into early March. In the spring you have the F&G Festival, but that is not a huge draw for us-we've done it several times, but that is never what caused us to travel to Disney during that time. Sorry, I know I wasn't much help...we love Disney no matter what time of year it is! :upsidedow

Hello. We usually go last week in Jan/first in Feb. My kids have a week off from school that time every year. There are literally NO crowds!! Weather can be dicey. October is absolutely beautiful weather wise, and now with the MNSSHP, very hard to resist, but I can't take my kids out of school then. We've been last week in August, and if you are not very careful, the HEAT will beat you down. Spring break one March, the weather was beautiful, crowds were awful. i will never go tis time of year again!!! Went Thanksgiving one year. Super great weather. Something so special about riding Splash Mountain on Turkey Day. VERRRRRRRRY crowded then too. (not as bad as Spring break though.) I'd do Turkey day again. The Christmas decorations were nice, but growing up here in the north-east, it's hard for me to get psyched up about hot weather and Christmas decorations. Just dosen't do it for me.

so to summarize, I'd probably choose to go in October. Just not doable with High School and sports.

As a kid, we went spring break-mistake..packed like sardines- June, still pretty crowded and warming up--end of July-misery!!!

Since kids, we have went in Oct, warm crowds average. Nov. warm enough to swim, but not swoon, crowds good. Dec, weather is iffy, and every year I think the crowds are growing. Last year we went the 3rd through the 10th and they had the cheerleader thing and it was a ton of people more than I expected. But we do love the Christmas party and all the decoration.

I am currently focusing on the 2nd or 3rd week of Jan. for our next trip. It may be cool, but that's okay. We just want to go at a down time this year. Of course it's value season for the resorts, so that helps. I have heard that after President's weekend the crowds start growing!!
