OK, so I'm planning early (2006 trip), but when is the best time in OCtober to go to WDW?
We want to be able to camp at FW, go to MNSSHP and the F&WF.
Can anyone give me some good travel advice on my dates?
I thought I read somewhere that MNSSHP is on Fridays and Sundays in October and that F&WF starts Oct. 1 every year.
What about season? Crowds? Discounts? Weather?
HELP? I'm all ears! :listen: :earboy2: ::MickeyMo :flower:

I would try to avoid Columbus day/weekend as it will be more crowded then and I would think the last few days of Oct would be pretty busy for MNSSHP.
We have been twice at the beginning of Oct and it wasnt bad crowd wise. more crowded than Sept but not overly so. As for the weather it will be hot, Both of our visits it was 90 or darn close to it and still pretty humid. With lower crowds though you should be able to sneak in a few extra A/C breaks.

I've been over Halloween twice, and we could walk on most rides, very little waiting anywhere.

We love going in October. The weather is usually amazing and the crowds pretty good. There are many dates to choose from for the Halloween party, even through the week and becoming more frequent as Halloween approaches. I'm not sure of the exact date the F&WF starts. We have been there at the beginning of Oct to the end and it always seems to be on. Check on the Disney website for the dates of the events this year to give you a time line idea for next year.
Hope this helps a little!
Lisa
