My DW, DD9 and DS8 will be arriving Thanksgiving week. We always struggle with coming up with a good CS at DHS. Any suggestions?

I think the Backlot Express is solid. Starring Rolls is always good, but it's selection is limited and it closes at 4. Fairfax Fare is also good.

My family has only done Toy Story Pizza Planet, ABC Commissary, and Starring Rolls, and out of those the only one we liked was Starring Rolls.

We are going to try Fairfax Fare this trip, though.

I'm not crazy about any of them, some I'll never return too.

In my book Starring Rolls with it limited pre-made sandwiches is the only one worth going to.

I don't know why this park has such lousy restaurants, but they do, CS and TS. they all get a low mark. I've tried them all but the Brown Derby, even though I returned to a few, I watch what I order.

After lots of trial and error we found Backlot Express.

They have a turkey sandwich and also a veggie sandwich, both are very good. Their french fries are also nice and tasty and there is always seating available.

Another plus is that they have refillable drink stations.

IMO its the best CS available at DHS.

I just tried Studio Catering Co. for the first time a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it, they had pretty good sandwiches (I think I read they recently changed the menu there, not sure what it was like before). I haven't really tried many other CS options at DHS (except for the pastries at Starring Rolls, which are very good) so I can't make much of a comparison, but I'd definitely go back there.

We normally eat at Toy Story Pizza, but last week we tried Starring Rolls and LOVED it! We will for sure go back;)

Thanks for the advice!

OP - I came here to ask the same questions so thanks :goodvibes

Honestly there really isn't anything great. But after a lot of trial and error, i've eaten at backlot express, ABC commissary, and toy story pizza planet. ABC commissary has consistently been the worst. We like toy story pizza planet and backlot express ok.

Actually, I've really liked Fairfax Fare, and have eaten there twice. I've had their salad and a BBW combo plate. The salad is made with chili, which makes it a little odd, but I really enjoyed it. The BBQ was a whole lot of food for one CS credit on the DDP. I struggled through, though :rolleyes1

Asking me to pick my favorite cs at DHS is like asking me how I would prefer to die, drop dead from a heart attack or drop dead from being shot? It would be neither. I can't pick a cs that I actually would recommend; Starring Rolls was ok, but far from good and would be my first choice by default. ABC Commissary on the other hand is absolutely deplorable. This place was the worst dining experience I have ever (no exageration) experienced anywhere.
