Best CS in Epcot?

I'm in full panic mode now that we're into the final countdown:banana: , and I think I just figured out that the menu at Yorkshire Fish at England in Epcot only has fish and fries. That's where I had been planning to do our CS that day as DH loves that stuff (and so do I!), but without anything else, I'm not sure I can convince DDs that that's where we should go. So, I guess I have 2questions - am I right about that being all Yorkshire Fish serves and also, what other CS places at Epcot are worth trying? Thanks!!

Leslie

PS - One final question - Without an ADR, do you think there's a chance we could get into the restaurant in Germany? DH has some German heritage, so DDs are interested in going there. I guess I could make an ADR, but I really need to burn CS credits for this meal...

Thanks again!

Don't plan on any full service meal without an ADR. You can always cancel them, but walk ups are nearly a thing of the past with the DDP.

The counter service restaurants in the WS are all very good and your choice will of course, depend upon your personal preferences.

The fish and chips kiosk does indeed sell just that (along with drinks of course).

Going in order from there (heading away from the IG) Canada has no counter service. Popcorn only.

There is the small chicken nuggets, fries, drinks and ice cream stand (McDonald's).

Mexico has the cantina and a nice menu if you like Mexican food. Large portions, easily shared.

Norway has the bakery where you can purchase open faced sandwiches, cheese plate, and sweets.

China has the CS that was under refurbishment. Can't remember if it's done yet or not. Standard Chinese fare there.

The Outpost when it is open only has drinks and ice cream any more.

Germany has a CS restaurant that offers sausage and 'kraut and other sandwiches. Not bad, but nothing outstanding.

Italy has a small dessert kiosk, no real food for CS.

The US is only counter service and has standard fare. Chicken sandwiches, salad, 'burgers, hot dogs, fries, drinks, limited desserts.

Japan has the Yakitori House (again, under refurbishment, not sure when it's due to be finished). There is a very nice udon noodle soup there as well as some other nice choices. I prefer this CS over the Chinese option.

Also, there is the Matsunoma Lounge in Japan. They have a lovely sushi menu and some very nice tempura. A wonderful place to rest in seated AC and have a nice break from the parks.

Morocco has a CS with a very nice selection of meals. The pastries/desserts there are quite nice too!

France has the bakery with lunch selections and sweet selections.

And we're back where we started, the UK.

(Nothing saying you can have lunch from more than one counter service place and all just come together and eat it in a common area).

So! It's up to you! :)

Great info, DVC! Thanks so much! :goodvibes

I'd still love to hear any specific recommendations anyone has - which CS they like best (or not!) or which particular food was great. Also, what about FW? Any good CS there? (I'm inclined to do WS, but just want to get my info straight!)

Thanks again!

Leslie

Future world has one called Electric Umbrella that is really good. We liked it a lot when we were there last year. We will definitely be going back during our trip this year!

I was going to say China until I took a look at the new menu and see they removed the beef fried rice. I guess it is a toss between a brat from Germany or rotisserie chicken from Morrocco
