O.K. so you seriously saw rats! Now I am freaking out. I wanted to eat at the bbq place, but I don't enjoy rats running under my table!

It was back in 1999 but yes, we did see rats. It makes sense -- they probably can't use anything to keep them away because it would be harmful to all the animals.

Can anyone give me more info on this? What type of TS restaurant will it be and when will it open?

I tried to find the press release that had been posted at allearsnet.com but no luck. However, it was definitely announced that a new, full TS restaurant would be opened in 2007 in the "Asia" area of AK, run by a chain known for themed restaurants (T. Rexx might be the name of an existing restaurant by this company). I think there's another thread on the restaurant thread right now that may have more details.

Hmmm, but maybe there will be two new restaurants and I'm mixing the two up -- it MAY be that a dino-themed place in going in dino land and that an Asian restaurant is going in Asia -- anyone with a better memory for detail out there who can help?

I've eaten at Tusker House and Flame Tree, but I keep going back to Pizzafari. They have the best Hot Deli Sandwich! Maybe the complaints have come from people who go there, hoping for good pizza. I hear that's not so great, but that sandwich can't be beat! I even went to Tusker House twice, because it was recommended by the CM who did our Backstage Safari tour. And Pizzafari is a great place to get out of the heat in the middle of the afternoon for a frozen lemonade.

Tusker House... great food and very pleasant surroundings.
If it's hot we like to eat inside, if not, outside near the bar.
Save room for dessert, they are too good!

Sorry you dont like Flame Tree. Thats one of our fave places to eat in the AK.
