We have the free QSDP this time around and am getting excited :cheer2:. Which counter service (other than Values please) are your faves and why? I am looking forward to your reasons why as that will help so much with our plans. Thanks so much :flower3:

Captain Cooks at the Poly is my favorite resort CS! Great location and you can take your food right onto the beach if you wanted. The food is yummy- I love their turkey clubs. And last but not least......self serve dole whip machine!!!:cool1:

If you leave out the values you are leaving out some of the best food courts.:confused3:confused3 We liked the food court at POR. They have a make your own salad station and make your own pasta station. You don't actually make it but you tell them which ingredients you want and don't want. Lots of other good options too. We also like the Comtempo at CR. It had more "upscale" options than other food courts. Usually I would say CSR if you are on the DDP but with the changes they have made to the food court the last few months I don't know if I would bother with it.

Captain Cook's at the Poly is really good for breakfast! The tonga toast was amazing!!

Contempo Cafe and the Contemporary is good too. Good sandwiches and a little more upscale than some other CS.

I also really like the make your own yogurt parfaits at the Beach Club. They include whatever you would like and weren't that expensive from what I remember.

From what I've heard though, some of the best CS locations are actually at the value resorts since those resorts don't have a TS to take the focus away from the CS. I wouldn't look those over. I'm also guessing you are taking a look at some of the great CS options in the parks too!

The Boardwalk Bakery has wonderful pastries (Croissant, Napoleons, Cinnamon Buns, Eclairs, Cupcakes, Huge Muffins, Fruit Tarts) and they also have a nice array of sandwiches both breakfast and lunch/dinner.

We love the turkey, bacon and swiss on mutli grain bread and also the Italian on ciabatta.

For a QS credit you can eat at a buffet at Coronado Springs Pepper Market. Thats right, its a buffet! :cool1: For breakfast and lunch only, not dinner. I think thats a great value for a QS credit if you ask me!! if you wanna see the menu, go to facebook and search for "Pepper Market at Coronado Springs". The menu looks really good!

The price of the buffet (if you wanna pay OOP) its $16.99. Kids are $8.99.

The food court at the Pop Century is great with lots of options. Here's another vote for not discounting the values. Also, it's just so much fun to look around at Pop!

Totally agree about Pop Century...also the food court at Port Orleans-Riverside is one of my favorites as well. :)

Another shout out for Pop Century!!! They had the best scrambled eggs and sausage on property!! And their sandwiches and chicken and pasta were delicious as well :goodvibes

Ooh I could go for a bounty platter from there right now!!!

Two of our favorites are Captain Cooks at the Poly and Roaring Forks at the WL. Both have great choices for quick CS meals :goodvibes

Another vote here for Captain Cooks at the Poly. We just stayed there without the dining plan for a week, so we tried everything on the menu. Their breakfast didn't have much variety, but it did have the Tonga Toast! The lunch/dinner menu is great! The Aloha Pork sandwich was excellent and the Adult Grilled Cheese was very yummy as well. The Pork Nachos were to die for! We will go back there everytime we go to Disney if only for those nachos :) Yum!

If you try the Contempo Cafe, you have to get a Red Velvet cupcake for me! Contempo was one of the few QS places that had pasta on the menu.

Wow! Awesome!

Thanks for the FB link!! Looks great!

Contempo Cafe @ Disney's Contemporary Resort because in my opinion their menu is more upscail compared to the other Quick Service locations among the WDW Resorts. Plus when you order their various Salads they are made fresh each time, where as other locations have them pre-made and sit inside a fridge all day.

Another vote for the Pepper Market...yummy. The center station with tacos, enchiladas, nachos, and fajitas is great. We have also had several salad items, the roasted chicken, and many breakfasts there. I am not excited about it now being a buffet but if I had the QS dining plan I would be...it is a great value. From what I understand the menu items are the same as when it was a food court...just noe buffet style. If that is the case I am sure it is the best value for a counter service credit.

Even if we aren't staying at the Poly we generally manage to go to Capt. Cook's at least once. The veggie noodles, flatbread and the adult grilled cheese sandwich are some of my favorites. And I *love* that you can get Dole Whip there.

The Mara at the AKL is another CS we really like. One thing my husband absolutely loves is that the Zebra Domes he loves so much from Boma are available here. The variety of options are very nice, too. We like to visit the animals after we eat as well. The AKL is worth a visit if you haven't been there before.

love the POR food court...the make your own pasta station was very good.

Agree there's great variety at the values food courts, though the quality is not all that good, unfortunately.

Have to disagree on Pepper Market...that was the most disappointing restaurant at Disney as far as we're concerned, and we've tried most of them. Food all looked good, but was totally bland, meh or just plain yuck. Not a value when the foods so lousy.

What dishes did you try? I'm the type that loves strong bold flavors and spices. I found the Mexican dishes very good, far more flavor and spices than I would have expected at Disney. Sandwiches were also good. The only item I felt was
lacking was the pizza, but then its the same pizza found all over WDW. People have different tastes. Some things are great to one person, yuck to another!

Definitely a matter if personal opinion. The food courts at the All star sports and Pop Century resorts are 2 of our favorites. We havent had one bad meal there and they have always been so wonderful with my allergies.

We also really like the food court at POR.

We like the QS at the values adn the moderate steh best mainly because they have the best selections.

Our favorite resort is Wilderness Lodge...but the QS there is severely lacking in choices. The quality was always good....just very small and very few choices
