We have a Disney Visa, but are looking around to see if we can get a better deal than what they are offering these days (which is a subject for another thread).

Tell me of the offers you know about that sound good (you need not say if you are an actual customer). Especially those with cash back or airline miles. We love Southwest Airlines, but their points expire after a year and we just don't travel enough to earn the free tix.

Thanks in advance!

I like the Starwood American Express card. You earn 1 starpoint per dollar spent, and the points can be used at Starwood hotels (Westin, Sheraton, W Hotels, Four Points) like the Swan and Dolphin. Also, the points can be exchanged for airline miles on a 1:1 basis with most major airlines. When you redeem 20,000 Starwood points, you get a 5,000 mile bonus = 25,000 miles. That's enough for a free roundtrip domestic ticket on most airlines. There is no annual fee the first year, and a $30 annual fee thereafter. https://www66.americanexpress.com/cards/Applyfservlet?csi=6/13628/b/58/0692155140/06912173836/0/n

does anyone have a card with no annual fee? One that pays you back somehow in air miles or cash back?

The card I use most is my GM Extended Family Mastercard. If you qualify for the GM Family and Friends New Car Purchase Program (and in MI that's darn near everybody)you get 1% earnings on your purchases that you can take in cash in $50 increments. Then I use the cash to take advantage of WDW AP discounts and airfare sales. I'm not obligated to buy a package or use a particular airline. I can go with whoever has the best deal. I also use my Discover card at places like Sam's Club where they don't accept MC. I get cashback from them, too. I have a Disney Rewards card. I've just never used it due to the limitations. If they have any decent offers that I could cash in on I wouldn't hesitate to use them. All this is based on paying the balance off in full each month. If you don't, you need to pay more attention to the interest rate than to the reward program. And I refuse to pay an annual fee for ANY credit card. There are too many comparable no-fee cards out there.

We have the SWA card and use it for everything. It gets paid off each month. I use it for groceries, gas, electric, phone/cell phone - I don't pay cash or write a check if I can charge it on this card. I have earned 3 free round-trips since October 2003.

Thanks for the link - good reading!

How come I can't find one that just give you $50/month just for being their friend???

Oh well, I guess it's back to sorting through the fine print...

Thanks for bringing this up again.

I'm looking at the Citi Dividend card and I have a question. Does the money you earn rool over from year to year? It says you only get $50 increments back, so say you've earned $40 at the end of the year, after you earn $10 more the next year, you get the $50 right?

I just want to be sure.

For me this looks like the best deal.

discover card. no annual fee. 1% back on all purchases. You get cash back. Terrific card.

AAA is great because you get one percent back on purchases. plus two percent off what you buy at AAA including disney vacations and disney park tickets. No annual fee and five percent back at gas pumps. every time you accrue 5000 points you get a fifty dollar voucher that is good for one year. One year we had seven hundred dollars worth and used them for a disney vacation and also got the two percent off the package. May not sound much two percent off but it was something like thirty four dollars and we could spend that in the park. Good luck and I am a customer and very satisfied and their customer service is great.

I have the Fidelity 529 card through MBNA. This one has no annual fee and gives you 1-2% back as a direct contribution to your 529 account for kids' college.

We use the Costco American Express and love it. We get 2% back on all of our purchases. We run everything thru this card and have only maxed out the rebate once (built a house).

They have changed it recently so it's not so great. It's a stacked %, like 1% on everything, 2% on travel and 3% on eating out (not sure that's the order, but something like that). For us we don't eat out much and our trips are pretty cheap now that we are DVC, so it wouldn't be a great deal for us but it might be for others.

The brochure states that "Checks cannot be issued for amounts less than $50 unless you've already received checks totaling more than $250.00". Doesn't say anything about rolling awards over to the next year. That would be a good question to ask when you call. I never worried about it because I know I'm gonna hit the $300 cap before my year is up. ~:)~

AT&T Universal cash Rewards card 1% on all general purchases BUT 5%on all grocery store, pharmacy, and gasoline purchases does not take long to add up with these

AT&T Universal cash Rewards card is a member of the Citi Cards group (thought those rewards sounded familiar ;) ).
