Best Counter Service??

Hungry Bear has great burgers and it's fun sitting by the river watching the boats go by and feeding the ducks!

On our most recent trip we really liked the Mexican place in DCA (can't recall the name), and the Pizza Port in Tomorrow Land. The French Market in NOS was great, too. We definitely think the Village Haus (or whatever it is called) in Fantasy Land was the worst meal we experienced, by far!

I like Hungry Bear Restaurant for good burgers (though service can be a bit slow. Not if you get there at its opening though). Plus, last time I went, I was able to get grapes instead of french fries. Mmmmm, those grapes tasted so good on a hot summer afternoon.

For Disneyland:

I like the location of the Hungry Bear restaurant.

The food is very good at Rancho del Zocalo and Redd Rocketts Pizza Port.

Although it's considered a quick snack, the Corn Dog Cart is good to for yummy corn dogs.

For California Adventure:

I like the Taste Pilots Grill, the food is good and I like that you can pick your own toppings and condiments.

Also the Pacific Wharf Cafe soup bowls are pretty good too.

Oh, yes, the Pacific Wharf Cafe was great, too! We just didn't get there on our last trip so I had forgotten about it. I had a great soup bowl from there on my previous trip. We ended up at the Mexican place right near by PWC this most recent trip because the PWC line was very long and my kids were very hungry.

Hmm, I love Rancho de Zocalo! I'm picky with my Mexican food and I love that place! I also really like Pacific Warf in DCA, the chicken salad in the bread bowl is just fantastic! I really love Corn Dog Castle in DCA too..

In Disneyland-Rancho or Riverbelle Terrace
In DCA--Pacific Warf Cafe

Oh, and we finally tried the bacon-wrapped asparagus at Bengal BBQ last time. Delish!!!!!!

At DL we like Redd Rocketts, Bengal BBQ and Hungry Bear.
Village Haus is a no-go as is the place in TL where they do the Jedi Training, although their breakfast plates are good and satisfying and reasonable at $6.99.

At DCA we like Taste Pilots, Corn Dog Castle and Pacific Wharf. Pizza Omm-Wow and McDonald's are the ones I avoid there.

Have a great trip:)

For Disneyland, I've always liked Rancho del Zocalo. Their tostada salad is my favorite. :lovestruc

For DCA, Taste Pilot's Grill is my favorite counter service restaraunt.

Red Rocket's Pizza Port at DL

Taste Pilots Grill at DCA

DL: French Market or Redd Rockets

DCA: Pacific Warf or Whitewater Snacks (in GCH)

Taste Pilots

In Disneyland, I really enjoy everthing but the Village Haus. I just don't like that place at all, too bad its a good location. Probably the French Market, Rancho de Zocalo and the Plaza are my favorites in DL.

In DCA I love Taste Pilots and the Pacific Wharf Cafe. I also was pleasantly surprised at Pizza Ooh Mow Mow (what a dumb name). We had never eaten there, it was the only cs place in all of DCA or DL we hadn't. It was pretty decent. The food tasted like Redd Rockets in Tomorrowland.

In DTD I like the Tortilla Joes take out window and the take out pizza place next to Naples.

Right by the Pirates of the Carribean there is a walk up service selling bread bowls of clam chowder and gumbo, and I tell you....this was the best meal we ever had at Disneyland! And we have eaten just about everywhere there. Usually we eat at sit down places like Blue Bayou or French Market or Carnation Cafe, but on the last time we went we only had time to grab a quick to go order at the walk up counter of this POTC restaurant (is it part of the Blue Bayou?) and we ate it outside while we waited for the fireworks to start. We all loved it!

Best value for your money (relatively speaking) is either Rancho Del Zocolo or Taste Pilots. Both locations have choices that can easily be split by two people.

People complain about the cost of food at Disney theme parks but for the most part Disney's offerings are less expensive and better tasting than other parks like Knott's or Six Flags.

Knott's, whose great Chicken Dinner Restaurant was a must-do even if you weren't going into the park, is the bottom of the barrel these days.

I'm going to go with Award Weiners in DCA. We mainly stopped there because the line was super short but ended up really happy with our quick lunch & the service was awesome! I ended up dumping some of my tray as I walked away from the counter. I was really upset with myself but the staff was quick & happy to help me out. :thumbsup2
We enjoyed Bengal BBQ in DL.

Disneyland...
Pizza Port - side salad and chicken fuseli (sp?)
French Market - beef stew in a bread bowl (with a salad)

DCA...
Pacific Wharf - Brocolli cheese soup in a bread bowl
