We are going to WDW in Feb. We will be there for 6 days.:cool1: I have my ADR's for dinner (Chef Mickey, Whispering Canyon, Mama Melrose, Storybook
Princess Dinner, Boma, and Spirit of Aloha).
We are trying to find the best counter service at each park for lunch. We will eat breakfast in our room. Give be your favorite from each park. What makes it so great?!
Thanks!!!

Our favorites:

MK - Columbia Harbor House: offers something a little different with the addition of fish and chowder along with apple pie for dessert. Big plus here is the upstairs dining, part of which is across the split of Fantasyland and Liberty Square.

Epcot - Tough to choose just one here but I'd say.....San Angel Cantina: Love sitting outside on the water taking in World Showcase, we always go with the nachos and the fruit punch.

DHS -Where Epcot excels in CS DHS lacks but we always end up at....Backlot Express: Nothing really exciting on the menu but quality is always good. Have heard good things about Starring Roll's lately although I've never had lunch there.

AK - Flame Tree BBQ: Again, GREAT dining location, if you walk down behind where you pick your food up, it leads down to a large seating area away from any hustle and bustle.

My votes would have to be:

MK: Cosmic Rays (love all the options and the meals are a good size)

EPCOT: Sunshine Seasons (again, lots of options)

DHS: nothing here too great, we usually pick up a pizza and salad at Pizza Planet

AK: tie between Yak n Yeti and Flametree BBQ. I've had good meals at both!

Mmm, we like a few, but, if we had one choice at each:

MK - Columbia Harbour House (With El Pirata, a close second)
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons (Due to variety, and the desserts)!
Animal Kingdom - Flame Tree BBQ! (LOVE the views if you go down far enough into the seating area, which is HUGE)!
DHS - Starring Rolls Cafe (Desserts again)!

:)

MK - Columbia Harbor House or Pecos Bills (fixin's bar was great!)

Epcot - WS - Tangierine Cafe or Boulangerie Patisserie
- FW - Sunshine Seasons (has something for everyone)

AK - Flame Tree BBQ

DHS - This one is a toss up. I think for the most part they are equally terrible. I would just get snacks here save the CS for someplace edible. :confused3

For us it would be

MK - Cosmic Rays (we always both want something diffent and there is plenty of choice
DHS - Starring Rolls (they also have good coffee)
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons (great fresh and varied menu with lots of healthy options)
Animal Kingdom - Flame Tree BBQ (not great for me as I don't eat meat but DH loves it)

MK - Peco's Bills or Columbia Harbor House

Epcot - Sunshine Seasons or Tangerine Cafe

DHS - Starring Rolls or Pizza Planet

AK - Flametree BBQ

mmm. we are doing mostly TS during our December trip, but i can't wait for quick trips with our SPs for flametree, pecos bills, and tangierine.

Epcot--Sunshine Seasons. There are SO many options and there's truly something for everyone. My hubby and I split an Asian platter, and it was more than enough for us. And the Strawberry Shortcake is INCREDIBLE!

Hollywood Studios--Starring Rolls. Oh my, these sandwiches are great! There aren't many options, but the food is fresh and so, so good. They're HUGE as well. And the desserts are like those you'd find in a bakery.

Magic Kingdom--we actually really enjoyed taking a break and heading over to the Contempo Cafe (at the Contemporary) via the Monorail. We had a flatbread, and a bagel, and they were both great. It was a nice break from the parks. Inside the park, we like Columbia Harbor House.

Animal Kingdom--Pizzafari was excellent! The Italian Sandwich and pepperoni pizza were both incredible, and the salad was good as well. We got grapes instead of dessert, but their desserts looked yummy! I've tried Flame Tree before, and while it's really great food, BBQ and heat don't seem to mix well...

Hope this helps! And have a great trip!! :thumbsup2

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.

Epcot: Electric Umbrella.

Hollywood Studios: ABC Commissary.

Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree Barbecue & Pizzafari.

This is a Great selection!

Mk another vote for cosmic rays. the options available should be enough for everyone to get what they want.
Epcot we loved the morroco one (sorry name escapes me) the platers are great and a nice healthy option from burgers. also the cantina de san angel is a close second.
AK we were not that impressed with the options so we did not use any of them.
HS we would go for pizza planet, its nice to get both pizza and a salad and desert so its a decent sized meal for the price.
DTD ok so its not a park but.. if you get the chance to go wolfgangs is hands down the best option over all of the above. Their creme brule is amazing and the portions are really good plus they bring it to your table.

MK - Columbia Harbor House
EP - Tangierine Cafe (w/ Sunshine Seasons as a close 2nd)
DHS - Hop to Epcot ;)
AK - We've only tried Flame Tree and it was ok. The onion rings were yummy.

MK: Cosmic Ray's

Epcot: Electric Umbrella

DHS: ABC Commissary

AK: Flame Tree BBQ

MK - We love going to Pecos Bills. The fixin's bar is excellent! Love the mushrooms for the burgers and cheese sauce for the fries on it.

MK- Peco Bills Cafe, although we want to try Columbia Harbor House

AK- Pizzafari or Flametree

Epcot- all, and I mean, all of the counter services. All are equally fabulous. From quiches and pastries in France to Sunshine Seasons in Future World to Tangierene Cafe to San Angel... Yum!

DHS- toss up. We always leave the park by lunch time to grab something at our resort or another park. Nothing appeals to us here. Starring Rolls has been getting good reviews/posts lately.

Thanks guys!!!:thumbsup2
I had read about hot dogs at Casey's Corner on Main at the MK. But, no one mentioned it?????
I think we are going to giver Starring Rolls @ dhs a try. I hear rumor about a Butterfinger cupcake!? Yummm
Can't wait! I think I may need to pack a weeks worth of "stretchy" pants!!!:yay:

HS - Without a doubt Starring Rolls Cafe the rest of the cs here is awful IMO.
I noticed a few people said ABC Commissary, I have to wonder if they have been recently. Since they got rid of the Cuban sandwich it has gone downhill big time.

Epcot WS- Norway Bakery or Morocco
Epoct FW - Sunshine Seasons

AK - Not much here. best option is Flametree, but the ribs are not as good as they used to be and if I recall correctly they no longer give you corn bread.

MK - Cosmic Rays or Main Street

Thanks guys!!!:thumbsup2

This used to be an OK hotdog, but nothing special IMO. A lot of people have fond childhood memories of it. They used to have a hotdog cart that was on main street two days a week and it was much better.

The issue with Casey’s now is they have gotten rid of the 100% Beef hotdogs and have a new mystery meat hotdog. In addition instead of white roles they are serving them on some sort of "healthy" brown role that falls apart when you try to eat it. (they have done this with most of the hotdog and hamburger roles in the parks)
